Ginn gets a look

I don't think Ginn would be universally endorsed by the hard core draft forum participants (me included) but he is a game breaker and could provide immediate value on KR as well as soften the blow if/when Stallworth and Washington (if he makes the team in 07) leave after one season.

The games I saw him play he looked faster than fast, Deion Sanders-ish. He also looked inconsistent as a route runner and didn't have the best hands.

There is a strong chance he is the BPA at 28.

McCauley seems like a reach at 28 and will be gone by 91 but what do I know.

Well Ginn is a Bethel Johnson type.

The naysayers will say "we tried that before didn't work out". True. However, the other way to look at it is that we have drafted that skill set before - just because it didn't work out with Bethel doesn't mean they have lost interest in that skill set. By all accounts, Bethel was a strange personality who didn't fit in well with the smart, hard working Patriots' lockeroom. If they think Ginn would learn better and work harder they may still desire that skill set.

we shall see. Better crop of players from Ohio State than Texas A&M. (No disrespect to the a/m fans)

the question is what player is going to fall this year? Last year Leinart.

Ginn @ 28 could come in in a no pressure situation and learn the offense and contribute as a kick returner.

But didn't we draft a speedster from Florida last year who ran faster than Ginn's 4.38?

Though admittedly Ginn plays much faster than his 40 would indicate. Sending Stallworth and Ginn deep on one play would peel off both safeties and open things up underneath, it would be quite the sight to be behold.

I'd like to see him wearing a Pats uniform as a high class guy with top notch athletic ability. Remember that he's only had 3 years of experience as a WR.
He came out of high school as the #1 ranked CB prospect in the country.

Ginn is an injury waiting to happen, IMO. Too frail.

Sure, he's speedy, but Brady isn't the best deep ball thrower, so what good does it do? Jackson is very fast too...good hands, why draft another?
