Or do they wait to get him back to cold New England?

No. Maybe MIA game would be my guess

If he is healthy I'm good with it, but I would have him on the sideline unless we absolutely need him, I don't think he is needed in this game

At full health and full capacity, a 43 front of Jones - Wilfork - Branch - Easley does a lot for me. A lot.

As does a "Nascar" package of Ninkovich-Easley-Jones-Ayers with Hightower or Collins on a blitz. Especially with the great coverage the secondary has been getting at times. I mean they held the Packers to o for 4 in the Red Zone in Lambeau.

Just a hunch, but I doubt he plays this week.

He's reportedly been moving around well this week though, so I'm expecting he should be good to go at least by the Jet game, if not the Miami one. His return at full strength will be a huge boon for the defense.

I'd also guess that we see him against Miami.

If we win in SD and Miami loses against Baltimore, we even might not see him until the Jets game. 2 games are just enough to shake off any rust.

That being said, if he is ready.. lets go..

He made the trip. Take that for whatever it's worth, but it seems to be a positive sign.

If I had to guess, Chandler made the trip because he is practicing, not because he is expected to play.

Agree. Jones has been limited in practice. I would think they would want to see in practice that he is healthy enough to handle everything he would be exposed to in a game before they activate him. Siliga, on the other hand, is a full participant in practice. I would expect him to be ready before Jones. Jones is already on the roster, however, while they would need to create a spot for Siliga.

Sensible, but that would go contrary to my hopes. As long as he gets a couple games in to knock the rust off (before the postseason), then I'm good with him being out this/next week.

He's into his second week of practice on a 'limited' basis but I don't expect to see a 'Full' practice before he is on the gameday roster.

So I'm guessing its this week or next with 20 snaps his first time back.

It would be helpful if the guys watching them practice from the roof of the garage could let us know if he's participating in pass rush drills.

Doubt we will see a 'Full' on the injury report before the AFCCG or even the SB.

Where are you playing Ninkovich at the SAM?

Have serious doubts if he will ever be at full strength the rest of the year. Even when he comes back how healthy will he be? 60 percent? 75 percent?

Who is anywhere near 100% at this point of time anymore anyway ? He will be back in the fold once the team thinks that he can be effectively used.

I think that the relative health of Jones, Easley and Hightower will all factor into the decision, and will probably be a game time decision. With Hightower banged up and reportedly heavily favoring his right side, this could be a game to limit him. That could mean increased playing time for Jonathan Casillas. Having Jones and/or Easley back on the DL would also potentially allow one of Ninkovich/Ayers to take some snaps at LB.

Agreed. If he's playing then BB thinks he offers the best chance for the defense to do it's job. Good enough for me.
