2015 NFL Mock Drafts

Clemmings will rise to the 1st i have very little doubt about that.

Right now its either Scherff or Clemmings for me in the first, with a move up if needed.(with the32 what do you expect? duhh!!)

I'm pretty much set on my prospect favorites at this point, with the draft 6 months away: Scherff/Clemmings at OL, and Oakman/Dupree at DL. Lots of other guys that I like, but I think those preferences are going to be hard to shake. Clemmings/Dupree will probably end up as my preferred combo. Both may well end up in the 1st, but no use worrying about it now.

If we want to improve the interior OL and get a pass rusher. I think the best way to do that is pass-rusher in Round 1. Willing to move up. Get the guard in Round 2. I like Tomlinson from Duke. Take him in the 2nd. Get a rb with the supplemental pick if we deal our own three to move up for a de.

My only problem with that is this. A 4-3 team with Tampa 2 goes that route. I'm not so sure Ninko's replacement isn't already on the roster. Jamie Collins or Hightower. I wouldn't give up on one of your other binkies yet Mayo. McKinney the lb from Miss St. If my thoughts about Ninko's replacement is correct. Wouldn't be awful to draft Jerrod Mayo's eventual replacment.

Do we need an upgrade at lt? Solder seemed to struggle yesterday.

Solder was at worst the second best OL on the team yesterday.

Demarcus Ware was kept fairly quiet. But, In previous games, Solder hasn't played well but I just don't see an obvious path to replacing Solder. This is a good RT draft, I'm less convinced it's a good LT one. Andrus Peat, who's stock seems to be falling, is an option but he seems share some of Solder's issues. Solder has improved the last few weeks so I'm hoping that continues.

Best replacement for Solder is Vollmer, and im pretty sure BB would swap them if he felt needed too.

This is my first mock of the year and I have some serious work to do, but this is where I am at as of today. I probably have a lot of duplicate player types. Feedback is appreciated.

Love Dupree and Clemmings. Brilliant start. Love Tartt. Love Frackell, but he is a junior and he tore his ACL, so I will be surprised if he comes out. Mike Johnson in the 3rd and AJ Johnson in the 5th would be a steal.

I would be quite giddy if things worked out that way.

More realistically I would probably trade the a 3 and 4 to move into the mid to late part of the second round, take Clemmings there, and then Davis at the end of the second round. It would be-

RD1 – Dupree
RD2 – Clemmings
RD2 – Davis
RD3 – Tartt
RD4 – Johnson

I would also take Johnson higher if Frackell does not come out.

Thanks for the feedback it helped a lot.

Realistically, we might have to move up to get both Dupree and Clemmings. I could see trading our 3rd and our 4th from TB to do so. Assuming we have a 3rd round comp, that TB picks in the top 5 of each round, and that we are picking in the 29-32 range, then:

- Our 1st (29-32) plus TB's 4th (100-105) gets us to around 24-27. I'm hoping Dupree doesn't blow up the Combine so much that he's available there. With Gregory, Oakman, Ray, Fowler and possibly Calhoun in the mix, I'm hoping that at least one of the top DEs will be available.

- Our 2nd (61-64) plus 3rd (93-96) gets us to round 48-51. I'm hoping that Clemmings doesn't rise so fast that he will be available in that range, though I'm not optimistic.

I would personally do both of those trades. Then I'd go:

1 (24-27): Bud Dupree, DE/OLB, Kentucky.
2 (48-51): TJ Clemmings, OL, Pittsburgh.
3 (comp - 97-100): Best available RB, or double up on OL
4 (128-132): Jaquiski Tartt, S, Stamford

I like Josh Robinson from Mississippi St. a lot at RB, and he's probably my top day 3 option at the moment. I'm not optimistic that Tevin Coleman or Jay Ajayi will be available in the 3rd round.

This happens every year. We see players and jump on the bandwagon, and NFL DraftScout eventually catches up, though there is a significant lag. Of course, the draft itself is very unpredictable, so it's mostly a matter of getting your board set, ignoring the noise, and then reacting to how the draft unfolds.

Personally, I'm fine with trading up twice, I think we need a pass rusher and an OL with all pro potential for LG. I liken Clemmings to Botiono who many of us were extremely high on last year. Zach Martin receives a ton of recognition (well deserved) but Botiono has played as well for Cleveland.

In terms of RB I actually like Tyler Gaffney a lot. I would still take a RB on day 3 but I'm fine with bringing Ridley and Vereen back if the price is right, which I think it will be. I will tell you one back I do not like is Gordon, I think he is going to be a major disappointment for whoever drafts him.

I had thought of the Bitonio comparison as well, though I think Clemmings has much more upside. I'm fine with trading up for those 2 guys. Add a stud DE and OL and take care of the re-signings, and we will be in very good shape.

I am happy to see how the RB situation sorts out, in terms of (1) Ridley's injury and contract situation, (2) Vereen's contract situation, (3) how Gray and White develop over the course of this year, and (4) the prospect of Gaffney coming in next year. This is a very good and deep RB class (at least based on the projected junior declarations), and someone good will slip.

Here's a Walter mock where we could get Oakman and Clemmings without having to trade up. We can pick up Tomlinson in the 3RD by moving ahead of 94. We'd still have a supplemental 3, and both 4th's.

Unfortunately, it's only a mock. I'm seldom very impressed with WalterFootball's mocks. Best thing about this particular one is where we are picking.

Walter Football's collegiate player rankings are typically untrustworthy. I trust NFLDraftScout more than any other website these days.
