And Deonte Skinner promoted to the 53.

Well there is a feel good story that went south pretty fast. Thoughts?

That's too bad; hopefully, we can sign to the practice squad. I like what he did in the preseason.

Seriously? The day after Jamie Collins injured?
How does that help the team? Baffling.

Sounds like an injury or some other issue to me.. otherwise this would have happened a bit earlier ?

Pats have waived Darius Fleming from the 53-man roster and have promoted Deontae Skinner from the practice squad to the 53-man roster to take Fleming's spot.

So who do we have at cover LB that's healthy and has ever played a snap in the NFL?

I don't know what that means for Collins. I guess that means he is playing. Otherwise, the Pats are going to be majorly thin at LB.

I did not see this one coming, that's for sure.

I think it means that Collins is not playing and that they don't intend to move Hightower into a coverage role, so they want Skinner for ST and ILB on Sunday. That said, I wouldn't have come up with this if given three guesses.

Hopefully Fleming makes it back to and wants to sign to our practice squad.
BB is being very lackadaisical when it comes to the back up LB depth.
Here's hoping Fleming comes back to the team.

I can only assume this means that Collins is good to go.

I would draw the opposite conclusion. Collins played inside last week. Skinner is more of an inside guy than Fleming who is pretty much exclusively an edge guy. Skinner being activated makes me think they expect Collins to be a game-time decision and want an extra ILB for depth.

Or they are going back to the 4-3. Where they need a backup ILB more than they need a 3-4 OLB.

I'm thinking that this might be the case.
