53 Man Roster - After The Tryouts

White and Aiken were cut to give Belichick flexibility. So, Belichick could wait a day to trade Mallett. The tryouts didn't amount to much. Belichick used the "rotating Player 53 roster spot" to rent Don Davis.

As always, there will be many, many transactions during the season. Perhaps, Belichick will sign someone after Game One, and not guarantee someone's annual salary.

Many of us had 49 or 50 of the final 53, a month ago.

So, I think folks are a bit off point when they think that the roster is a total mystery. As always, I have enjoyed the discussion. And now, the season will start in a few hours.

There will likely be injuries that affect the situation after Game 4.

As you noted, we can always drop a couple of special teamers listed as safeties.

We have at 2-3 extra safeties. After all, when Browner is back (giving us 6 corners), one of the corners could be our #4 safety (or even our #3).

Finally, if all the wide receivers are healthy and play as expected, Tyms may not even make the 53.
