Yeah GamePass stream went down right before the end of the first half. Prior to that though, I had a super high quality stream going. Any difference for you?

But seriously, still need input on Maclolm Butler and Tyms.

Yup, just before half..

But it happen while I was on a CFB forum arguing that ifo ekpre-olomu is the best CB prospect since Revis, while slamming back wobbly pops.

Was not pleased, not pleased at all..

I didn't get to catch much of the second half because I was totally at the gym getting so jacked (he said in a cry for attention), but how did Tyms look? Did he get any run with the 2nd team at least? Or mostly 3rd stringers?
Tyms made on nice catch for a long first down, and had a better catch on another deep ball....but it was out of bounds. In other words he didn't do anything tonight to negate any impression he's made previously.

If tonight told us anything, we really do have an embarrassment of riches at WR.

Fantastic, good news. I caught one play of Tyms making a nice first down catch in the second half, but didn't see anything else from him. Glad to hear he still looked the part. Hard to believe after last year we'd consider ourselves stocked at WR!

Butler still look the part?

Here are some Game thoughts.. Mother F NFL f'n gamepass, for f'n up my night on a absolutely, ishsy stream. Those are my thoughts on the night.

I'll assume you have a major cable provider for your internet connection...it's funny how using a fake ip address (one that would be over seas, fit instance, ipn, vpn(?) Is the term, check the "out of market thread") results in a smooth, almost hd stream. Write a letter to your senator and governor demanding true net neutrality, with reclassification of broadband providers as the only answer. Otherwise, expect ****ty streams over the internet, or pay through the nose for cable.
/end rant

One side note is that we game planned for this game while the Panthers really didn't. They had announced that they would game plan for last week as opposed to this week.

BB in his press conference said that they didnt gameplan.

No. No, there’s no game planning, there’s no formationing or game planning plays and situations and those time of things. That’s not really what this game is about. I don’t think that’s what it was about for them; it’s not what it was about for us. I think if that’s the way you want to judge it, I think you’re making a big mistake. I think it’s a game about fundamentals. It’s about basic football and it’s not anything close to a regular-season game in terms of game planning and situational football and doing strategically the things that you would do. I’m not saying the players don’t play hard and they don’t compete at a high level. I’m not saying that. But I’m saying the strategy and the game planning and the amount of attacking your opponent is, I mean we’re just playing too many people to do that. We have 90 guys out there, we can’t game plan for 90 guys, we can barely get it right when we have 46. It’s just not what this game is. That’s not what we’re trying to get out of it and I don’t think that’s what Carolina is trying to get out of it. What we got out of it is fundamentals, playing against a lot of good football players and playing a lot of basic football. That was great and that’s what we need. I don’t think this is the time to out-X and O everybody in a preseason game, third preseason game with players in some cases who have never even played in the NFL before. I just don’t think that’s what this game is for, for our team.

Butler played a lot and even got time opposite Revis with the 1s. He was close in coverage a lot and did give up some catches but contested just about every one. He was still playing after the starters left the field, too.

@MattLoveless: Jimmy Garoppolo's preseason stats: 24-37 (64.8%), 334 yds, 4 TD, 0 INT.

129.8qbr :)
Does not look like a rookie out there. Impossible not to be impressed. Most polished rookie QB we've had in many years. Maybe the FCS is a better league than we all thought. Hell, Romo and Flacco came from that league, and they're pretty darned good QBs.

Who else loved the first Q? Jones lighting it up. Great secondary. Almost no flags as well!

Question for anyone. When Worthy was in the game where did he play?

Worthy seemed to play mostly LDT. I think that the defense had a 4-3 look most of the 2nd half,
after the starters were pulled.

According to ESPN, there would be a bust in Canton waiting for a certain back-up Quarterback if he put those numbers up in the preseason.

Bortles and Garoppolo have looked very good this preseason. It'll be interesting to track both careers.

A comparison of stats for all the rookie QBs this preseason...
