Ever claimed authority for something in scripture?
Ever claimed America is a Christian or a Judeo-Christian nation?
Ever complained that we need to have more Christian or Judeo-Christian principles in our government?

But the stranger that dwells with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

I'll love that stranger as long as he doesn't try to make his religion mine and as long as he doesn't try to change the country to fit his religion.

I say unto him "I love thee, thou worship unto thine self, I Harry wilst worship unto mine"
Go Now And Bless Thee and Thine

PFiV doesn't give a crap about religion, he just wants more democrats to come here, legally or otherwise.

People models of the world certainly inform their politics whether they be Atheist, agnostics of adherents of any particular religion.

My God, what does this even mean???????

From the Catholic Catechism:

"2241 The more prosperous nations are obliged, to the extent they are able, to welcome the foreigner in search of the security and the means of livelihood which he cannot find in his country of origin. Public authorities should see to it that the natural right is respected that places a guest under the protection of those who receive him.
Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants' duties toward their country of adoption. Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens."

Being $17 Trillion in debt (thats Trillion with a t), are we able to support all these illegal immigrants?

Are these illegal immigrants "guests" or invaders? Let's look at the definition of guest and invader:

Guest= a person to whom hospitality is extended

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/guest

Invader= to enter or be in (a place where you are not wanted)

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/invade

So are illegal aliens guests or invaders? It's pretty obvious that they are invaders.

Do illegal immigrants respect our laws? Nope, they break our laws in many ways.

Do illegal immigrants respect with gratitude our material and spiritual heritage? Nope, not even close.

Do they assist in carrying civic burdens? They are a net drain on our country.

My goodness...whatever happened to "Judge not lest ye be judged?"

Or better yet, "Thou shalt not bear false witness?"

Or do you know every single illegal immigrant personally and can personally vouch for their lack of respect, gratitude and assistance in carrying our civil burden?

The body is a sensory input mechanism for the Brain.

The senses input information over a series of bandwidths that have been useful on this planet for humans/primates.

The bandwidth is rather limited relative to the electromagnetic spectrum.

Human nervous systems builds models of reality so they can functions, one can view
these models as belief systems of organic biocomputers (ie us)

The models we create and believe in, our reality inform our politics.

Being an atheist, agnostic of believer in a religion are all basically the same from this frame of reference.

All are relative limited by the human brain and nervous system.

This thread is going well ... not.

Judge not lest ye be judged is about a person's heart...not their actions.

Illegal immigrants break our laws....that is a fact.

Illegal immigrants take jobs that they aren't legally allowed to have in this country......that is a fact.

This thread is being moved to the Religion Forum.

I had no idea that the actually text, which is directly on point and which we quote over and over again in my religion - in context - each passover, was so offensive to so many.

We're all fine when the text says to throw rocks at gay people. Wow.

By the way, Snake, if you don't give a crap about religion, you can say so. You evidently believe very strongly in your telepathic powers, if you think you know what I "give a crap" about, particularly as regards religion.

RIP, that's a lot of dancing to get away from the text :) It doesn't say "...except if your future obligations look daunting unto you one day in the vague future."

In fact, I would hazard to say that even our poor are materially better off than a Judge, or later, than a King, back in the day. Do you seriously believe that this commandment is not binding because modern Americans are a poor people?

Icy, I'd advise you as I advise PR so often... you can leave a thread when you don't like it.

Has nothing to do with what I like and has everything to do with the wishes of most of the members of the political forum who voted not to have these threads in the forum. This thread was made to bash away at RI ... a favorite pastime of the Catholic hating left of the forum of which you are a charter member ... you think you're that clever that nobody realizes it.

Apparently I was correct ... so now troll away in the religious forum.

Yeah, right...and yet this thread is allowed to stay:

Sorry, Icy, your bias is showing.
