Would you guys like to see the NFL Network bring back their programming of NFL REPLAY.

Every week the NFL Network takes the four best games from the past weekend and condenses them into an hour and a half each. All games are shown as the original telecast mixed with post game comments and special NFL Films replays.

Personally I like these programs as it allows me to see more football than I normally would. Even though I already know the outcome of these games as I rewatch them, it gives me a chance to see teams that I normally don't get to watch.

What do you guys think of it?

I'd just like my cable company (Charter) to bring back the NFL Network first. That would be a good start.

oh, and FYI....

in case you did not know, every Sunday the NFL Network is reairing each week's NFL REPLAYS. Today they are on Week 3, which is....

CIN at PIT
CAR at TB
CHI at MIN
JAX at IND

I think it's a great idea,and adding post game comments,etc even better.

Like you I don't see other teams that often, either because of programming or time or both,so something like this would be perfect. You really get to watch players that you normally don't get to see much of other than major highlights on ESPN,etc.

"Bring back?" They're still playing them. I'd be pretty surprised if it didn't continue to be a staple as the years go on - why wouldn't it? NFL Network has 24 hours of programming to fill and, apparently, the rights to air and re-broadcast games. There's no way they WON'T keep it up, IMO.

Yea when you said bring back I thought you meant they were going to stop showing them. I hope they keep showing them, they're very good I think, especially when the middle of the week is slow anyway.

I just watched an NFL Replay a few hours ago

Yea sure, but lose the dumb promos for them...Sapp singing "You spend all Sunday watching games on the tube..." lame....

I used the term 'bring back' because I'm sure last year was trial basis for the format and based on viewer's ratings they would decide between NFL Replay and old formats.

I didn't have NFL Network before last season but I heard they used to play two GAMES of the WEEK, which are hour long game highlights with only NFL Films footage.

I have heard from other that prefer the GAME OF THE WEEK to the NFL REPLAY because of the NFL FILMS feel that the GAME OF THE WEEK has.

Exactly. I'd like to see NFL Network, period. (I have Time Warner).

Its not a trial format. Its simply the current format and there has been nothing to indicate that is changing though its possible that it could.

NFL replay is awesome. NFL Network is awesome.

If this was a poll I'd vote yes.

NFL Replay is great, though I wish they'd extend it to 2 hours instead of 1.5--it feels rushed to me. They eliminate so many plays and skip sections of the game. Skipping injury time outs, replay reviews, and such is fine, but there's something about the flow of a football game that I don't think the current format adequately captures.

Personally I couldn't watch much of the old Game of the Week. The slow motion got so tedious. For Patriots games it was fine--when I actually wanted to see the action in all it's drama (and I had already seen the game). But for a first time viewing of Cleveland vs. Green Bay, I found it unwatchable.

Guys, DirecTV is the answer. It is cheaper than cable and has more to offer.

Directv is not available to all (e.g. those that live in apartments or behind trees).

Bingo. Sunday Ticket is the icing on the cake. Getting to see every Pats game in Michigan is priceless.

NFL Network is addicting. It's like crack to me. I've started watching this "Lost Treasures" series where they dig up old NFL Films reels and link them together with a common theme. Last night they aired one about the media in the NFL. Think about this, a show about guys interviewing athletes and coaches, yet NFL Films made it entertaining. NFL Films has been so far ahead of other sports broadcasting.

Also, the America's Game series is unreal. It needs to go DVD.
