That's a Brady courtesy deal. He knows he will never see the last 3 years of that deal.
He'll be 33.
The extra years are there to spread out the guaranteed money. Don't be surprised if his deal is structured in exactly this fashion. It could average $12-13m for the first 3 years. In which he can't be cut because of the enormous cap hit.
