Obviously we all understand the circumstances but it is still funny to know that the Patriots have a WIDE RECEIVER (Matthew Slater) with more PRO BOWL APPEARANCES (3) than CAREER RECEPTIONS (1).

In case you are wondering, his one reception was a deep bomb on the opening drive of the opening game of the 2011 season at Miami. It was a Monday Night game, and during the replay of the reception Jon Gruden (commentator) was so pumped up he was spouting "anytime Matthew Slater is on the field the defense can NOT fall asleep. He can burn you" or something along those lines. Um, good call Jon. The defense should really key on the special team's specialist who came into the game with ZERO career receptions.

to be fair, he can burn you, he just cant seem to catch the ball.

Slater couldn't catch a steel basketball if he had magnets for hands. Fortunately for us, he's a ****ing menace on special teams.

Slater can't catch a beach ball forget a football but as Froob said he is a menace on special team

The Patriots are the masters of disguise. They only break out their secret weapon in the playoffs!!....and then the experiment fails miserably.

And we've been paying for that one blind squirrel moment ever since: see 2011 AFCC,
2013 AFCC.

I consider Slater a 10th DB instead of a 6th WR.

FYI - I will now from now on consider Slater to be a STer in my cap reports
