Anyone else like him as a late round pick?

Kid has got a great attitude, consistently accurate passer, good movement, intelligence, heart, takes care of the football.

Knocks on him are his size and arm strength but I really think there's a lot of potential there.

I agree with you on almost everything, tough kid too, I would like too see him in a Pats jersey but only drafted if we've already drafted Brady's replacement (hopefully Aaron Murray) and taken care of every other need (TE, DB, LB, OL, DT, etc), I would without a doubt invite him to camp post-draft immediately, he's one of my favorite dual-threat QBs in 2014

You have to remember that in a Spurrier offense, the QB throws to a spot and it is the WR's responsibility to be there.

That is a huge difference from actually learning how to read a defense and one of the major reasons why Spurrier's college QB's struggle in the NFL.

But I like Shaw because he makes plays and he wins games. He has the intangibles, escapability/scrambling element to his game and solid fundamentals. Now he just needs NFL coaching, work on reading defenses, and help with accuracy.

I'd like to see him be the holder on extra points as well as occasionally run the wildcat out of the extra point holds. That would add an element of surprise missing in our current game.

I like Shaw but no he is a 6th-7th round pick at best and more likely undrafted.I expect that he will be a practice squad guy

Wouldn't mind that at all and would actually welcome it

QB Connor Shaw is my favorite late round pick, along with Ted Bolser, a TE with an NFL body who isn't going to the Combine. Ochmed is right about Connor Shaw's intangibles. The guy's got heart and is a winner. Sixth round for him, seventh for Bolser. Or switch it. I really like both players at need positions, tremendous value.
