I was reading the thread about Bledsoe saying Manning was the best of all time and it led me to take a look at Brady’s career stats, record and awards; what I noticed when I did this is Tom Brady has some real milestones that should be reached or at least have chance to be reached during the 2014 calendar year:

• 1 Super Bowl start for the most ever by a QB (6).
• 1 Super Bowl win to tie Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw for the most victories career for a QB (4).
• 2 playoff wins to reach 20 in his career.
• 9 starts to reach 200 in his career.
• 2 wins needed to reach 150 in his career.
• 851 passing yards to reach 50,000 in his career.
• 41 touchdown passes to reach 400 in his career.
• 25 touchdowns for 10 seasons of 25+ touchdown passes in a season.
• Passer rating of 90+ to reach 10 seasons of a 90+ passer rating in his career.
• 1 Pro Bowl to reach 10 in his career.

It’s going to privilege to pay witness to the greatest player of all time reaching these monumental milestones :rocker:

Yeah, but Manning is still better.

:faint:

Those are just ridiculous numbers. 50,000 yards is just a magical number. It will probably take 2 seasons to reach the 400 TD passes. Truly insane numbers I never thought I'd see a Patriot QB reach.

If Beady plays 4 more years he will reach 200 wins (not counting playoffs). With a winning % >77%, Montana for example has a 71% winning % and Manning is under 70% (in fairness a lot of that has to do with his rookie (2-14) season.

I agree the 41 touchdowns will probably be the hardest regular season milestone to reach in 2014 but it is possible especially if Gronkowski is 100% and Dobson makes a 2nd year leap.

Either way as you said the numbers and achievements are ridiculous, I never thought when the handsome kid with the butt chin took the field back in 2001 that he would end up being this spectacular on and off the field. One thing I think that goes unrecognized is what Tom Brady brings to the NFL as a whole, He is the poster boy of how an NFL player should behave, he takes care of himself and his children, he is married to the most recognizable supermodel in the world, he is responsible financially and he always make the politically correct statements, etc. Peyton receivers a lot of love in the media but he is not the PR dream that Tom Brady is.

Brady took over a team that was 5-11 in 2000 and 0-2 when he made his first start in 2001 so I don’t think that Manning’s 2-14 rookie year is anything different. The difference between Brady and Manning has and always will be that Brady does what is best for the team and Manning does what is best for Manning and hopes that is also best for the team.
