....That's what ESPN is hyping it as.

I mean, c'mon, the 'here and now' gets WAY overplayed in my opinion. Win or lose, are you really going to tell me that this game is more important than the two Super Bowls that he played in?

They hype it because they expect Denver to win.

If so, then conveniently, they can sweep all of the past under the rug and say that 11-11-in-postseason Manning has somehow, in their twisted logic, passed 18-8 Brady, that the 5-10 record of Peyton in head-to-head matchups is close enough to just call it "advantage Peyton" because of what happened last.

I hope that it backfires.

A New England win on Sunday and I don't think even Archie Manning would contend that Peyton Manning is above Tom Brady for their career accomplishments. It would be an impossible argument.

If Brady wins this one and the Super Bowl, in my opinion, he should be the undisputed GOAT. To win a Super Bowl with a team that is so inferior talent-wise than any team in the playoffs is a tribute to him and BB.

If Peyton wins this and loses the Super Bowl. My opinion won't change. It wouldn't change if he won though.

If Peyton wins this and wins the Super Bowl, 99% of earth will coronate him forever. Which is some bs.

I was going to rip you for the thread title until I saw it was ironic.

You are absolutely correct.

who cares?

I mean really, just who cares what the Extra Special Peyton Network thinks about anything.

I would consider any SB to be more important but that's me.

Perhaps this is why, if you look on the Donkey boards, they are asking why they're not underdogs? Throughout this whole year they're singing the tune of how they're going to destroy everything in their path on the way to NJ after last season's one and done. Now there are some who are wondering why the Patriots aren't favored. Love when people want things both ways. Being the favorite does add some pressure to the playoffs but they'll have to deal with it.

The media is basically saying this as a threat IMO.

"Peyton, this is the biggest game of your career because if you lose we're all going to say Brady > Manning!"

This IS the biggest game in a long time for PEYTON FANS who would have to go into overdrive to invent new and ridiculous reasons why he's better than Brady if he should lose to him in his own house this year.

Out team certainly is not inferior. We are inexperienced and underrated. We will win this game because we are the more talented team

To be able to get such an inexperienced team to step up and come together is a testament to the genius of BB, hardwork of the coaches and leadership & skill
of Brady

Actually, I changed my mind. This is in the very least one of Peyton's most important games. Losing it for Brady doesn't affect Brady's legacy at all, but Peyton losing it drops him out of the top five all time easily.

If Peyton win and then the Superbowl, i won't watch espn for weeks. Broncos fans will say he took Welker from Brady, broke his touchdown record, beat him in the AFC championship and then win the Super Bowl. They'll immediately crown him as the second coming of Christ.

This could be the biggest game for Wes Welker. After all, to lose with the Pats with the highest scoring offense of all time and then to lose with the Donkeys and the new highest scoring offense of all time. That would be two pretty big disappointments.

Then again, you could spin that as "hey, wes welker was on the two highest scoring offenses of all time, he must be pretty darn good"

Wes would easily have been MVP of Super Bowl XLII if the Pats had won, so yeah.

I stopped watching ESPN after Super Bowl 42 for literally 3 months. I have seen the highlights maybe once (and it was on a commercial).

It's one of the biggest games of his career because now he is close to the end. If Denver, who is at home, is favored, had the highest scoring offense in NFL history this year, has been hyped all year as the best team in the AFC, and choked in the playoffs a year ago..if they lose to a banged up Patriots team, it will go down as a huge choke job for Manning.

For BB & Brady, the next game is always the biggest game. Maybe some of the "Patriot Way" is rubbing off on him.
