Welcome back to our Offense...Vereen did some things last night that only Aaron Hernandez could do with his receiving skills. He's a really Dynamic receiver from the RB positon who can be moved around. I am sure Brady is happy as a lark to have him back. Vereen is now the new Hernandez of our Offense.

He's also a solid blocker, is fast enough to turn the corner and hits the hole quick enough to run between the tackles. Let's hope he eventually proves to be durable.

On the field only, I pray.

This offense will be very hard to stop if Gronk and Vereen stay healthy. If DA somehow avoids injury, even more so. Brady was money on 3rd downs except for the last one which he should've never been throwing anyways. Vereen was a big reason for that and there always seemed to be someone wide open for the conversion, which Brady read perfectly yesterday.

If the 3rd down defense and OL ever get it together we could be very dangerous.

I miss Aaron, if he didn't do what he did he would be Brady's number 1 target on route to a Superbowl.

Vereen was great, looks better than Woodhead/Faulk, I expect him to be in 80% of the game against the Broncos

You know in reflection it's really a sad shame what Hernandez did with his life. When you read about the guy and see things like his bench reps during his pre-draft workout or his play on the field it's clear he was really dedicated and worked extremely hard at it. He now sits in a cell 23 hours a day because he couldn't properly assess what mattered in like, wasting all his hard work and all his earnings on a defense. He could have been a special player and obviously he did this to himself but it is still sad to see a young man so lost and damaged that he destroyed so much and so many. At first I was really angry with the guy and just disgusted but when you look at it big picture this is just a real sad story of how complicated humans can be.

If he stays healthy...he is going to be huge for us. Great player

Vereen looked good catching the ball last night. We'll see if he gets some carries next Sunday in addition to those targets.

The offense certainly looked a lot different with Shane Vereen in there last night.

After all, instead of forcing a ball downfield for an eventual incompletion, last night Brady was consistently able to dump the ball down to Vereen for positive yardage.

There was one stat that said Brady hasn't had a game of 70%+ completion rate until last night. I think Vereen was the reason.

Vereen will smoke Linebackers all night long. They were playing 10 yards off of him so they wouldn't get beat deep which led to all the short passes. At some point I would imagine teams will replace the LB with a Safety to match up with him. It's not like he's a big threat running between the tackles.

In any event, I'm excited about his unique talents and the mismatches he creates. I also wonder why it took him three years two plus years to reach this level of play but oh well.

In the Two Games he has played this year Vereen has already caught 15 balls. With stats like that the Defense has to account for him. Just for a change of pace the D has to turn gray when they see him out there on First and Second Downs. Vereen is dual threat RB in the mold of Reggie Bush.
