Not surprisingly, the loss of the best starters has led to the exposing of the backups and weaker starters. Arrington and Gregory are still Arrington and Gregory, after all, and the same is true of Collins/Hightower/Spikes and the DTs.

I haven't looked at stats, but there seems to be a very significant correlation this year between getting positive yards on first down and getting a first down. Second and eight or higher, and their ultimate first down conversion rate is very low.
