Gronk likely to play vs Saints

I'd like to remind everyone that BB has as much say in his rehabilitation as us fans.... He just listens to the doctors, and leaves the ultimate decision to Gronk and his medical team.

Pretty much the point I was making

Looks to me like the optimism was a media invention from the beginning. Gronk and the team have never said anything but "day-to-day."

The optimism and the pessimism, one good way to look at it is so far they've only ruled Tommy Kelly and Leon Washington out.

Clearly you don't understand what he means.

I understand that Gronk might not play because he's not ready. The only way to know for sure by him not being of the field Sunday. There is no doubt that his stocks are down today.

Patriots: Gronk is practicing, day-to-day

Media A: He looks good in practice, I'm optimistic he's going to play.

Media B: Source (Media A) says Gronk return "optimistic".

Media C: Gronk's getting another doctor to consult.

Media A: Gronk doesn't trust Patriots doctors.

Media B: Gronk and the Patriots are at odds! Patriots said he was optimistic to return, now there's a setback. They're not happy!

yeah, gronk and his camp were so worried about the surgery that he was out drinking and partying and getting body slammed wrestling. sounds real worried.

OMG. What a bunch of nothing to fret over.

Of course a broken arm can heal without a plate. That's the old-fashioned way they treated broken bones. Set the break. Put it in a cast. Get all your friends to sign the cast. The arm atrophies like crazy, but most times the bone heals. Sometimes it heals a little crooked, but it's usually OK.

That's not the normal procedure today, certainly not in sports medicine. You put the screws and plate in because it aligns the bones perfectly while they heal. Prevents motion at the break. Allows a quicker return to a soft cast and less muscle atrophy. All around a better way to treat a broken bone. It is just plain wrong to say that this was risky or in any way the wrong way to go. It would have been wrong to NOT do the plates and screws in a high-level athlete with good insurance coverage. This was the state of the art treatment.

You forgot

Media D: Fans care more about fantasy points than Gronk's health!!!!

Absolute joke that the media has created a ton of different stories from this based on nothing besides speculation and the reactions of the idiots eating the crap they're being spoon fed.

yeah well ... Dakota from Braintree just said according to his sources he won't be back until the Miami game .. so, that's that .. (celebrity callers have sources now?)

he's notorious for being wrong although he's been right before, course I could call up 3 times a week and make bold predictions and be right once in a while too.

noun
1. a place, person, or thing from which something comes or can be obtained.

I guess technically it is a source...

As much as it pains me to say this, I think it might be time to move on. If it isn't healed now, will it ever be?

Yeah I don't understand what he means by that, they already have control and final say on when Gronk plays.

Of course Gronk's family and "team Gronk" have control over Belichick, Kraft, and the team staff..that's why Gronk's family pays the team millions of dollars a year.

Oh, wait...nevermind.

You're advocating just cutting the cord, and moving on huh?

Spirits around here are down, so I'll chalk up the comment to that reasoning.

I hate to see what this place may look like on Sunday night if they lose.

If his arm is still bothering him they should take out the plate and target next year for a return.

Gronk is out. Not expected to play.
