When you're good, you can get around a lot of holds. He needs to get better at not getting caught up in them...bottom line.

There is absolutely not a single DE in all of football, (and in the history of football), that can get away from a facemask grab and his head jacked up skyward. It never happens.

I'm glad I started this thread because it's stunning to me how underrated Chandler Jones is among the fanbase.

That's what happens with speed rushers, they wind up running right into the OT, it's like a magnet. he needs to come up with some different moves so he uses his speed, by trying to go around, or use a spin move. But with him, it seems like, ball snapped, run right into the tackles arms, pass rush stopped.

There is a Jones on this defense the past 2 games that has more than 1 sack .......and it's Chris Jones,not Chandler....that alone is a surprising thing.

Chris Jones is an exciting prospect. Not many DT's get 12 sacks in a college season. I know it wasn't against the greatest competition. But, now he's got 1.5 sacks in his first few NFL games. Hopefully Chris Jones and Buchanon can help Chandler Jones get less double teams. Undrafted Free agent and a 7th round pick, and they both look like steals.

Yikes man, how many times am I going to say it? Holding is one thing. That's fine. Grabbing a facemask is a whole other penalty. Entirely different.

Jones is on pace for 64 tackles and 11 sacks. Those numbers are what you'd expect from a top pass rusher on a good defensive team. If a well known name (Watt, Suggs, JPP, Ware) put up those stats they'd get a probowl invite. With Wilfork out Jones is clearly our best DL. His contributions are a big reason why our D has had so much success this year. I am totally baffled by the criticism Jones is getting in this thread.

The fact that Jones is not on pace for 20 sacks in his second season is not a knock on Jones. The problem lies in poster expecting him to be a top 5 DL. You shouldn't believe everything the media writes.

In regards to Jones getting unfair treatment from the refs, I don't buy it. I think the Pats not having a good edge rusher in so long is causing you to forget how many penalties go uncalled.

But JJ Watt, Aldon Smith, and Von Miller combined to average 19.5 sacks in their SECOND year! Chandler Jones is a bust with anything under 18.5 which is what Miller had, Miller is a border line bust too, he brought the trio's average down!

Only scrubs record 11 sacks!
