Is it okay for brady not to look his way when dobson wide open? Brady is dumping the ball off too much.

It is. Chances are Dopson will just drop the pass anyway.

Roger that. Thanks guys. In my moment of celebration I thought he was hit behind the goal line

This was a VERY painful game to watch. Hard to see Belichick and Kraft putting this kind of offense on the field for this team. Dobson....is a bust. The OL is STILL a inconsistent mess. Thompkins has potential...but is a long way from being a top threat WR....primarily because he bobbles/can't hang onto the ball. Blount is a decent back...but is north south and is very predictable. Bolden continues to shoot this team in the foot...WE HAVE NO FRIGGIN TE UNLESS Gronk comes back....no offensive blocking help....no offensive weapon. I think Bb and kraft...have to know that they tanked (so far) on the offense this year and yhat McD ain't going to get it done here.....again
Lastly Amendola.....the whole decision by BB ranks up there with some of the worst decisions in BB era. ..Amendola will NEVER STAY healthy all year..... he will never be reliable

First - You claiming Dobson is a bust is just laughable.
Second - Only parts of the O-line have been inconsistent. And it only started THIS year. Claiming that they are "STILL" inconsistent implies they've been inconsistent for awhile and that just isn't the case.
Third - Could you explain how the Pats are supposed to foresee Gronk having to have 3 extra surgeries because of the infection in his arm? And foresee that Hernandez was going to get arrested for murder?
Fourth - Amendola had 2 years where he was healthy and played in all the games. There were 2 as a rookie he was inactive, but that was not due to injury. Saying he will never be reliable is acting like you can see the future.. But then, it's clear you think you can... Shows how little you should be believed.

I'd much rather be sitting in week 5 thinking the D is the best its been in many years and the O is out of whack than ringing up the scoreboard and wondering how we will stop teams.
My thoughts exactly.

The Defense had one bad breakdown all game, but other than that was sparkling on the field. The D did exactly what it needed to do for them to win the game. If they play like that all season, the team is much better shape than these fair weather fans nonsensically want us to believe.

Edelman not only ended the streak but stopped it being a 3 point game with a poor drop in the end zone

I'm struggling to figure out in which world the DB having his arm inside the receiver's arms and working hard to push the ball out while the receiver is trying to bring it in is is a "poor drop".

Tough break for you borges, looks like tommy kelly isn't hurt. you must be bummed.

Why would I wish him hurt? This D needs to put up points given the anemic skill players BB has deployed this year.

If I was Brady id probably call it a career rather than risk tarnishing my legacy with the "skill" players he has to work with

Which is why you're not Brady.

The pats are so worried about cap space, overspending and being great in 7 years that they are wasting the last few years of Brady's career. BB has done a great job fixing the defense, who not overspend for a stud receiver or two for the next 3 seasons? After Brady retires this team is going to rebuild anyway.

It's a zero-sum game—is getting that stud WR worth not having the money, for example, to keep Solder?

Broncos d looks a lot like the patriots of old. So glad that's not us anymore getting 3 guys in front of the qb and letting him get away.

Offensively today was the worst performance we’ve had since week 9 of the 2010 season against the Cleveland Browns. The good news is that was game was a real turning point for us in 2010 and Brady went on to dominate the NFL and win the MVP after that game.

This. Was I not watching the right game? None of the receivers played well, but Dobson was the only one who made a big play in the passing game. Regardless of the fumble it put us back into a position to score. But he of all people tonight is the bust.

As disappointing this loss was, being 4-1 is a good start for this team.

1) OL got owned early
2) horrible play calling on the goal line in the 4th quarter.
3) danny who? hopefully that was just rust today
4) offense just plain did not execute and did not make the plays when needed
5) D still looking great (hopefully Kelly did not injure himself severely)

no way they play this bad again next week....with gronk back..at home...should rebound nicely. But today was brutal

Look at the bright side borges, wilfork is out for the year, that had to give you wood.

Worry about that in 2014. Its ridiculous the mess that BB has surrounded Brady with.

called it, cowboys upset Bronos
Common Phalic Cow Toys !!

Your logic only works if the Pats convert to get the TD there. What happens if they don't get the TD there?

You're making the same mistake Smith made last week coaching the Falcons.

The goal is to actually win the game, not to postpone losing the game. While winning and postponing losing may sounds like the same thing, they actually aren't.

Kicking the FG postponed losing the game (if they had gone for it and not made the TD the game would have essentially been over at that point), but trying for the TD would have maximized their chances of winning the game.

Given how horrid the offense had played all game and that they only got that close due to a lucky big play, that was all the more reason to have gone for it at that point. No guarantee they'd ever get that close again -- especially how they were playing.

Blame this loss on our lack of offensive adjustment and secondly on Brady.

Bengals blitzed Brady almost exclusively one 3rd downs and put pressure. There weren't any quick slants to make the Bengals pay. Thomkins caught on in the first quarter(?) but that was it. A screen to one of our RBs on 3rd downs would have been great. Bolden dropped one, but there's no reason to go away from it especially as the game went on and the Bengals were riped for it.

Brady played awful. Those two sacks to begin the game must have shaken him up. Lots of balls behind receivers, or short. That pass to Amendola to set up a first and goal was well behind him. Had Brady led him a little bit, it would have been a TD.

The play action to Solder in the goal line was the worst call by Josh in a day where he had a good amount of them.

Brady needs to trust his WRs like last week. Thomkins had separation a good amount of times, and Dobson as well. Brady had too much Amendola tunnel vision this game. He rarely looked outside.

Defense did it's job. They just got tired.

Yes injuries happen, but it's borderline ridiculous for the pats right now.

I mean you know you are in trouble when the opposing team's hardest decisiom is whether to double an UDFA or a converted QB at receiver.

I mean it's hard to fault the Pats plans. If this offseason hadn't been struck by the crazy bug, we'd be looking at

Brady, Ridley, Vereen, Welker or Amendola, Gronk, Hernandez, a returning young OL that was one of the best in the league and great depth at Rb, and we'd have the luxury of Edelman, KT and Dobson as our third receiving threat.

Pretty damn formidable.
