i had to change his number on madden
i still have him as my number two dt
so i changed him to 98 and put ad at 96, even though i was tempted to make him 56 for some reason

No, Tippett's #56 isn't officially retired yet - they'll probably wait until he makes the Hall to do that.

The last player to finish a season with the Pats on the 53-man roster or a reserve list who wore #96 was indeed Rodney Bailey in 2004.
