Looks disinterested. Slow to run support, glacial in pass coverage. Sit his as down until he gets it.

I don't think it's his will. Something's wrong with him and Vince. Lets hope it's just a temporary bug.

1400+ posts in eight years! You seem slow and disinterested i think you should sit down. :snob:

He might be banged-up, but I wonder if it's not just getting adjusted to being a role player. With all the 3WR alignments they've faced, he hasn't been out there consistently. He may simply not be in the flow of the game. He's a very instinctive and agressive player, and sometimes it's hard to make good reads, when you are watching from the sidelines most plays, rather than watching plays develop in front of you.

He is probably still battling the flu. However, his snaps will be limited because he is such a liability against the pass.

Did you watch the Bills game? Spikes came out after two snaps and was dehydrated - all the outlets said that he was not well and toughed it out to make the opening day game in Buffalo. He's got the flu or an intestinal bug or something. Go easy. He'll be out there thumping running backs before long.

It Is What It Is » Brandon Spikes leaves game with dehydration

He didn't play very much of the game last night. Something is clearly wrong with him. Hopefully it is just a bug or something.

He's left both of the games with dehydration. I doubt it's conditioning. I wonder if he didn't get a nice helping of MRSA from the Bucs.

Either way, he's sick and once he's over it, he'll still be Brandon Freaking Spikes. He'll make huge run stuffs, dance, and energize the defense even more.

I look forward to it. (And hey- he did make a major Blitz that looked great last night, but play turned out to be a run so it was kind of all for not. Had it been a pass it would've been a huge sack and looked awesome. So even at 50%, he's still a playa!)

I noticed the same thing. In last nights game, there were at least 2 plays in which Spikes blitzed on a run, got through the line and missed the runner, after which he just gave up on the play. On a similar play, Ninkovich didnt give up and caught the runner from behind when the runner had to slow down at the line.

Hightower better. And Arrington is third CB but playing all game. So, he isn't as necessary as he would have been in 1999.

Guys, relax, it was a short week.

You can always count on #50- he's always prepared

Hightower will only get better

Arrington plays hard

....Spikes may have a virus- plus the short week+humid +wet = shlit

This board is bi-polar, you got a guy who's proven, playing sick trying to gut it out and we get a thread saying get him the hell out of there and sit his ass, then we get threads calling Brady a big bad meany for yelling at players :bricks:

People assume way too much about Spikes. Because he's a bit of a dif guy and used to post some whack stuff on twitter he's a malcontent and isn't a leader.

Spikes MIA also?

Is it my imagination or has Spikes been invisible also? He never seems to be at the bottom of piles or making tackles. Is that he is just playing fewer downs or is there something else going on?

Re: Spikes MIA also?

There was a thread about this earlier this week. Yes, something is obviously wrong. The easy answer is that it's something related to his dehydration from the first game. Maybe he had the flu or something. If he looks like that against the Bucs, then I'll worry.

Re: Spikes MIA also?

Seeing it's a contract year, you'd think he'd really want to impress.

Has to be something we don't know about. Has he been practicing?

Re: Spikes MIA also?

Obvious dog faker is obvious.
