This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

Willie and the half time crew can not hold back their laughter against the Butt Fumble King' as he runs out of time scrambling like the fool he is.

Play like a Jet !

Great battle between two expansion teams. I think Gino Smith just won the starting job by not playing.

Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's ...BUFFUMBLE!

NO, its the jest crashing again.

last play of the half...all sanchez had to do was throw it away and kick the FG..instead he scrambles and the clock runs out before he makes his horrible pass. Sums up his entire career

I could end up being wrong, but I think there is a good chance that Sanchez explains that play by saying "That's something I could have done better. But at least it's the preseason and we'll be prepared for when the games count."

Of course, a QB going into his 5th season as a starter should be able to execute in those situations by now, preseason, regular season, or post season.

they kept sanchez in with the 2nd O unit...wow

Ugh. Way to make my loathing of the criminally overrated Favre clash with my love of hating Sanchez.

He never takes credit for when he does bad...always been like that. Always says we need to do a better job

So Sanchez throws a pick in the EZ, then later with 1st and goal on a fumbled punt reception can't complete a pass and runs out of time throwing an incompletion to end the half. And WTF is with the "You theenk you can drive that car across the Baha" mustache?

Coples out 3-4 weeks with hairline fracture

OL! Last week, Rex Ryan dismissed Sanchez's INT because he wasn't watching the offense. Last night, he makes excuses for Sanchez's INT because not only was he watching the offense, he put Sanchez in a bad situation:

** Sanchez took the blame for holding the ball too long at the end of the half, when the Jets had third and goal on the 6. The clock ran out and the Jets got nothing. But Ryan wanted to shoulder the blame, too, for making that call to not kick a field goal with six seconds left on third down.

“I’ll take the responsibility on that,” Ryan said. “I knew it was going to be tight. You’re hoping to get one or two clicks left (on the clock). I knew it was risky when I called it and obviously we never executed it very well. That one is on me. I knew it was risky before I made the call. Would you make that call in a regular season game? Maybe not.

“It wasn’t designed (as a rollout, even though Sanchez rolled out), but those things happen and when the immediate throw wasn’t there, I think Mark thought he could make a play and that’s why he did it.”

Despite missing second preseason game, Jets quarterback Geno Smith encouraged by ankle progress | NJ.com

I wonder when both Ryan and Sanchez are unemployed next offseason that they will try to package themselves together like Culpepper and Moss tried to do when both were free agents in 2008.

I hope he is back and healthy for week 2 so Jets fans can see the mistake the Jets' front office made by taking him over Chandler Jones. The funny thing is they are trying to make Coples and OLB in the 3-4 even though he is way too big for that position and Jones is far more of a natural fit for that position. Coples is clearly a DE in the 3-4.

Coples is Gholston 2.0. These are the 2012 New Jersey Green Beans 2.0.

Coples is better than Gholston. He can be a stud pass rusher at times. The problem is he is wildly inconsistent.

I watched the Jets game last night and it is indicative of his career thus far. For the most part, he was useless. But he had a couple of plays where he was an absolute stud. He has zero consistency in his play.

I know that but give it time. Futility does strange things to people.

He had 5.5 more sacks last year than Gholston had in his career. I think he has bust written all over him, but I think he will end up being a decent pass rush specialist for his career. Not what you are looking for with a mid-first round pick though.

BTW, Dee Millner was awful last night. He was lost out there and absolutely owned by Justin freaking Blackmon. If he doesn't vastly improve, he is going to be a big bust too.

The great Rah Rah is still smoking the good stuff:

While everyone will only focus on his mistakes, I think he has ALSO shown areas of improvement, and at lease SOME fight for the job, to improve, show that he can fight through fan outrage, and does seem to be progressing well in MM's new offense.

If getting picked off and making rookie clock mistakes are "some improvement," I'd love to see what "sliding backwards" looks like.

A more realistic view is provided by one of the other posters, who divides his game summary into the Good, the Bad, and the Sanchez.

gary payton said that sanchez is the most impressive QB of the preseason on the fox sports 1.

Mind = blown
