I'm not sure if how long you've been following the team, but in my years watching Belichick, one thing is clear:

He never tips his hand in the preseason.

It's vanilla through and through, focusing primarily on fundamentals. Closed practices are where he's always honed plays like Vrabel as a very successful goal line TE.

The fact that you haven't seen him run some trick plays with Brady in which Belichick would be tipping his hand to the rest of the league means either nothing - or it means that Belichick actually may plan to do something akin to converting a wrestler to offensive lineman)

Go ahead and dump those rocks on yourself.

Abs as much as I 100% agree that Belichick never tips his hand, he’s also never been one for using a trick play, occasional flea flicker, direct snap to a RB and an end around 1-2 times a year is the general extent of trickery in Foxboro. Trickery is usually reserved for teams that cannot score in a prototypical manner, I know we have to break in some new receivers but we are hardly at the level of the Arizona Cardinals.

In addition with all due respect to Tebow he has a hard enough time processing and executing a standard offensive play, I would hardly have confidence that he could be trusted to run something irregular. Unless you want to label the broken plays that resulted in positive yards as trick plays? That was popular in Florida and Denver for a time.

This thread makes me happy ... fans being all anal regarding the 3rd string QB ... now that's seeking perfection.

For any older fans remembering the period between Grogan and Bledsoe ... this is nirvana.

If one is a Jet's fan they are worried about their top 24 and especially their top QB ...

**** you, Hugh Millen is a legit QB.

This thread makes me nostalgic for Aaron Hernandez murders.

Well in that case you’re in luck, I’m pretty sure they linked him to at least 1 today, it is a Tuesday after all, and just wait till he hits gen pop you’ll have more murders than you know what to do with..:violent:

Joking aside I agree at least Hernandez was the 1st string murderer on the team:bricks::bricks::bricks:

Well if you read my next post you wouldnt have to embarass yourself. Since when did the Pats play College ball? What league are we in? SEC, BIG10? ACC? What Denver Broncos records does he hold? NFL records? what most air-time for a 3rd string QB in history?
, and the part where I was better was a little sarcasm but keep going with that. Sooooo yeah just keep on trucking right along.

Tim Tebow’s NFL League Records

Most yards per completion in a playoff game: 31.6 against Pittsburgh in 2012.

Most 30+ yard passes in a playoff quarter: Tebow was the first NFL player ever to complete four passes of 30 yards or more in a single quarter of an NFL playoff game, with 51, 30, 58, & 40. And this was against the 2011-2012 Pittsburgh Steelers rated #1 in defense in the NFL in various, especially relevant categories.

Fewest passes to 300+ yards in any NFL game: According to the authoritative Bleacher Report, Tim Tebow is the only quarterback in the Super Bowl era to throw for 300+ yards in only ten completions.

Only quarterback to throw three 50+ yard passes in a playoff game: since the NFL/AFL merger in 1970 according to Bleacher Report for 51, 58, & 80. Even outside of playoff games, this feat happens only once in a blue moon, as throwing three 50+ yard passes hasn't been done in any NFL game in over twenty years.

Longest touchdown pass in NFL playoff history in overtime: 80 yards, and in the shortest overtime play, 11 seconds, almost a minute quicker than any previous NFL postseason overtime.

Fastest to six game-winning drives: Against the Chicago Bears, Tim Tebow earned a Super Bowl-era NFL league record with his sixth game-winning drive in the fourth quarter or overtime in just his first eleven games!

13+ Point Fourth-Quarter Comebacks: By way of comparison, John Elway, two-time Super Bowl winner, second "most-winningest" NFL quarterback ever, one of the NFL's all-time comeback kings with a great combination of game winning drives and fourth-quarter comebacks who earned his sixth fourth-quarter comeback after 29 games, had won after trailing in the fourth quarter by 13+ points twice in 16 seasons. For this amazing Tebow NFL record, he overcame a 13 or more point deficit in the fourth quarter twice in his only first four games.

Most yards per attempt in a playoff game: Tebow threw for 15 yards per attempt against the Steelers.

Best-selling NFL Jersey: Tebow's #15 became the best-selling NFL jersey when he was drafted, the best-selling ever for a rookie, and has remained among the highest-selling jerseys and in January 2012 is second only to Green Bay's 2011 super bowl winner Aaron Rodgers. [Other Very UNRELATED Jersey Record: See below for $10,000 paid by Bob and Doug for two football jerseys.]

Tim Tebow's Denver Broncos Records

Most passing yards in a playoff debut: 316. (This media-dubbed playoff win of "biblical proportions" led to the 3:16 quarterback getting around the NFL ban on eye-black messages with the media spreading the word of the John 3:16 game with Tebow's 31.6 yards per completion for coach John Fox and back office exec John Elway, and the last quarter Nielsen ratings were a record-breaking 31.6 for a playoff game, with 42 million people watching the game, more than doubling the NFL playoff average of 18 million viewers. Also, a million people now know the NFL record for most yards per completion in a playoff game. How many people were aware of this stat before Tebow’s win against the Steelers?)

Highest postseason rating: Tebow’s passer rating was 125.6, the highest in Broncos playoff history.

There can be beauty in simplicity. I will tell you that Joker is anything but "nonsensical, trollish, irrelevant" or inebriated. He's quite cogent in general.

I've seen some of these "cogent" posts from him. Seems to have some good insight from time to time. But his other posts are almost insane/inane/something else. He's either insane, extremely medicated, or using 2 different schticks(sp) to post with. Lately, all I've seen from him are the less than rational ones.

Hugh Millen was clueless. I'll never forget that home game vs. Denver. Third down, seconds left, behind by 3. He tries to run it in from the 8-yard-line, gets stopped short and time runs out. Idiot.

Joker is tenured classic here ... :drum:

I’ll give it to him, the guy holds more records than our 3rd string quarterback last season….:third:

I'm sure that it'll take more than a couple weeks of lurking here to see the "big picture"

Already, I've seen him bounce back and forth between 2, maybe 3 distinct personalities.

You know who should be pissed off about this thread? Dowling; here’s a guy who labels himself a man of god on his twitter page and everything I don’t see anyone in his thread compiling articles of Tom Brady smiling at him and using them to argue that he is a roster lock…

Now this is closer to what I was expecting. Thank you. The Awesomo-ron line was pretty weak.

yes..and I have many Sibilings too....let me guess, YOU are in reality, Doctor Sigmutt Fraud...here to perform a Tebowcism on me and return me to the rational world of Tebowity...,LET THE HEALING COMMENCE!

I've come around to the idea that despite voting for Tebow to be cut, I'd like him to remain a Patriots player for the next 20 seasons. When someone is discussing jersey sales as a meaningful NFL record, I listen.

Stick around Tim. The forum comedy is magnificent.

Only when your heart is truly open, can you receive the full healing power of the Tebow. For now, I doubt your sincerity, but if you continue down the path of the true believer, the truth will find you, and it shall set you free. Just wire me $50 to cover my equipment overhead, and I will open your eyes to the world of The Tebow.

I may be a Tebow fan, but some of the others do go way too far sometimes in trying to defend him. Usually why I lurk instead of posting.

This thread was apperently just too epic to avoid though. :rocker:
