]So Demos and manx are now comparing Tim Tebow to both Eli Manning and Andrew Luck. [/B]

This is just getting better by the day.

I guess Tim Tebow could be Eli Manning and Andrew Luck according to the Julian calendar.

I'm glad we didn't sign Andrew Luck as our #3 QB because his was only 76.5. Eli Manning didn't break the 70s until his fifth year on the Giants.

Hate to deflate your Timmy pup tent but Tebow doesn't have the QB talent of either one.

Do you think the Pats should give TT 5 to 8 years to I dunno...learn how to throw a football like a real NFL QB? We both know that isn't happening. What is so special about TT that the Pats would be willing to do such a thing?

It is beyond dispute that at a minimum a quality NFL QB has to have accurate passing ability and read defenses. TT can do neither, I wish he was good but he isn't.

Like the saying goes: "Facts don't cease to exist when they are ignored".

Tebow had all the inside jokes on the Butt Fumble......:rocker:

And where did I say he did? Please work on your reading comprehension. Thank you.

Yea - we know two face palms are not enough for you and your ridiculous comparison.

Next - you are going to tell us that is a red herring argument or a strawman argument.

Do yourself a favor manx - why don't you just look at Tim Tebow the "quarterback" and what he did with his opportunity as a "quarterback".

I don't know about 5 to 8 years, but I don't see a problem with giving him more than 1 freaking preseason game. Why not wait to see how things shake out ?

Let's talk about the calendar instead.

Do yourself a favour Belichick and read and try to understand what I wrote. In particular, please note that at no time did I say that Tebow was as good as either QB.

Damned if I could have sworn that he took over a team that had been something like 5-22 previously, went 7-4 with them and took them to the SECOND ROUND of the playoffs after a victory in the first round.

Not bad for a kid with less than 16 starts at the time.

Then do yourself a favor and stop trying to pretend that Eli Manning and Andrew Luck are as unskilled as Tim Tebow.

There is a reason why each of them are starting quarterbacks in the NFL and Tebow is not. It is called - skill.

Actually I'm looking at him through the perspective of a 3rd string QB and wondering why one of the greatest minds in NFL history signed him. And I'm intrigued. That's it. I don't feel the need to compare him to Joe Montana or Adrian Peterson like some on here seem to want to do. I don't feel the need to find quotes from people completely unrelated to the sport. I don't feel the need to try for gotcha's or call people terrorists just because I don't agree with them. I don't feel the need to insult others, or insult an entire region of people. I don't feel the need to cherry pick statistics.

All I'm interested in is being intrigued as to why BB signed Tebow and what role he might serve on our team. I'm supporting a Patriot player, signed by a Patriot HC and I seem to be in a minority and I'm absolutely gobsmacked that that is the case.

If I were you - since you insist on beating a dead horse - to read and more importantly comprehend my latest blog.

It spells it out for followers of the Julian calendar system - which in this case - is you.

I didn't. I just pointed out how meaningless that particular statistic was in that context.

First of all - he is not a Patriots player. He is a Patriot camp invitee. And if he makes the initial 53 man roster, which is a long shot, then he is nothing more than bottom of the roster fodder.

Manx - you need to use some common sense and utilize the evidence that is available. If you cannot take a holistic approach to one man on a 90-man roster, then it tells me that you are just here for ****s and giggles while continuing the form of posturing when it comes to this one player on a 90-man roster.

Oh and BTW - on Tommy Kelly, if he is hurt, then that would just be one more roster spot that is going to be needed on the defensive side of the ball required for THIS TEAM rather than having a mediocre option at QB3.

It is interesting how many teams were interested in his services prior to being signed by the Patriots to what is essentially a non guaranteed bargain basement quarterback... 630K for this superstar, you get what you pay for.

His salary is one of the lowest amount paid for any quarter back in the NFL...
just above Nick Stephens (DAL), Adam Weber (TB), McLeod Bethel-Thompson (MIN), Aaron Corp (BUF), Matt Simms (NYJ)..

The 660K is 60K above the veteran minimum for a player with three years experience...

No one except the Patriots made an offer...

Like i said, Its like trying to teach evolution in the south.

If I were you .....

Quite frankly belichick, if YOU were ME, then most of your posts wouldn't be anywhere near as ignorant as they have been.

But alas, you aren't me. Rather, you are you, so I don't anticipate any improvement in either the quality or the accuracy of your posts.

More ignorance of the facts.

FACT: The Pats signed him to their roster. Maybe you missed the articles about it somehow?
FACT: Tim Tebow IS a New England Patriot.
