I know this - Tim Tebow will never be a starting quarterback in a playoff game again on a team where he is the starting quarterback because unlike Eli Manning, Tim Tebow does not throw the ball fundamentally well, makes poor reads, and lacks the acumen to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.

You can take all of your perceived historical theories and throw it out the window because Tim Tebow, unlike Eli Manning, will never be a starting quarterback in this league again.

But hey - please continue to delight us with some more rants about what Peter King said in 2010 or how Tim Tebow, if he played on the Julian calendar instead of the Gregorian calendar, actually would be contending for a starting job in the NFL as a quarterback.

Son, once again, you don't actually know what you are talking about. You are making presumptions.

That kid who "does not throw the ball fundamentally well, makes poor reads, and lacks the acumen to be a starting quarterback in the NFL" has actually already stated 16 games in the NFL overall and has 2 playoff appearances and 1 playoff victory to his name.

BTW, just for your education, Eli Manning went 0-6 in his first 6 starts, and 1-6 for that season. He made his first playoff appearance in his 24th start, and lost. His 2nd playoff appearance came in his 41st career start, which he also lost. His first playoff victory came in his 78th career start.

Yea - ok, I have no idea what I am talking about.

Get your rest Mr. Julian calendar. 5 AM is in a few hours. You have another long shift over here making the case for Tim Tebow.

That's like 0 for 7 for you now Sunshine. I'm on the Astronomical calendar, not the Julian.

Anyways, we can call it a night and I'll pick back up and continue your severe beating tomorrow at some point.

Since Christians tell the truth - I thought that it would be appropriate to write two truthful blogs about Mr. Tim Tebow while he is on the 90-man roster.

It's just unbelievably ridiculous, that Tebow is even in the NFL any more. He is so clearly inferior to every 3rd string player ever, that he should never be allowed on a football field again. Not for practice, and certainly not for any games. What kind of incompetent coach would bring somebody like this in, to disgrace their beautiful green fields?

For you, I propose that you shift your hate from Tebow (who clearly deserves hatred, since he's such a comprehensive failure), to the incompetent coaching staff and management that brought him here. Perhaps, you should write a blog or three explaining why your namesake is clearly on the decline, and will likely be out of the NFL soon, because he can't see anything clearly any more. Hell... whoever was stupid enough to sign Tebow should've been fired on the spot, right? It's just so plainly obvious that Tebow isn't a good player that it brings into question the judgement of any NFL executive foolish enough to acknowledge his existence. With such a blatant display of incompetence, it should really make a fan question every decision this coach has ever made.

If Tebow miraculously makes the 53-man roster (God forgive me for this blasphemous statement), Mr. Kraft must immediately form a head coach hiring committee.

Right?

It really is the unavoidable logical conclusion one must come to, since Tebow's the worst quarterback in the history of football. Right?

I think this gives a pretty decent hint at whether or not Tebow will make the 53 man roster, whether anyone agrees or not.

It would seem to me that Belichick isn't going to go through all of this trouble and media attention to simply get rid of him a couple of months later.

There's no way Tim Tebow isn't on the roster this year. We're going with 3 quarterbacks.

I think you're right that this is the clearest sign yet that Tebow WILL be on the 53. Throw in the attention Daboll's been giving him and it looks they've invested too much time for him not to be.

So the next phrase that interests me is this from BB:

“Tim is certainly a good runner, so when he's in there, we'll probably let him carry the ball a few times."

Might not be anything but there's a lot more certainty to "when" than "if".

Crap. I wanted to post this new article with Bellichick's first in-depth comments about the value and uses he sees in Tebow. But I have two conflicting "Prime Directives" in my head that I want to follow:

1. Use existing threads where possible (like this one), instead of starting a new one. BUT

2. I can't tell if it's been posted before, because every time I check back in there's 10 pages of this girly-slap-fest.

So with apologies if it's already posted upthread, here are the most informative comments we've yet seen about Tebow from BB.

Bill Belichick explains where Tim Tebow fits in - ESPN Boston

The decisions that you make are important there; you don't want to waste a lot of time on something that doesn't benefit you," Belichick said on the "Salk and Holley" program.

"At the same time, you want to try to be prepared for, and take advantage of, some of the players' skills that you have. I don't think it's uncommon. We've had those types of things in our offense before. This is a little bit different, but we're not trying to reinvent the game or anything. We're just trying to take advantage of a particular player's skill, and that's no different than something we would do with a tight end, or a receiver, or running back who has a skill set that we want to try to take advantage of."

It has been posted before but it's worth posting again if only to reinforce that we have a grown up in charge. Some on this thread would do well to take note.

My goodness, you are perhaps the worst debater ever.

Ahhh...Sweet Infestation!!

It's been said before, so this will probably ~ and quite justifiably!! ~ get merged...

But my GOD, what a fascinating Horror Show it is, to watch the Legions of Tebow Terrorists terrorize us!!

The number of new "Members" whose "Join Date" is weeks old is astonishing.

As Brother ArmChair noted with appropriate Horror & Disdain in Tebow Thread #4827:

"Egad...

"The Tebow-ites are multiplying like CaulkRoaches."

*OK. He said "Ugh." Poetic License, Brothers.

Re: Ahhh...Sweet Infestation!!

I am happy to see Tebow wearing the Patriots Laundry. I think he'll do well here. He's an asset to this team even if he doesn't pay a single down, because he forces defenses to account for him in their game plan.

Coach remarked, shortly after Tim's signing, about planning for him when he was at Denver and the JESTS. Belichick stated that the hardest thing was tackling him. You couldn't bring him down with just one guy. You needed two and sometimes three defenders to put him on the ground. He's big, strong, and reasonably fast, especially for a QB.

I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do to help this team this year.

Your attempt at wit notwithstanding Tebow is quite simply not a very good QB and will ultimately be cut at some point. When that time comes BB will make a brief statement about how hardworking TT was and how it just didn't work out. You can then join the Montreal Alouettes (or whatever they're called) fan message boards and wax poetic on the short sighted the NFL that failed to give TT yet another chance to prove the doubters* wrong.

Re: Ahhh...Sweet Infestation!!

Grid why do I get the feeling you spend about twenty three hours a day locked in a padded room scratching at the imaginary bugs on your arms shouting: "Get off of me! You damn Tebows!"

I just can't see essentially a "spot" duty QB occupying a valauble roster spot that could be used for someone else more useful each week.

Over/under on how long it is until the "Tebow Terrorists" get blamed for derailing this thread?
