Patriots Training Camp Day 7 (be advised)

-- New kid Tuinei looks the part of a bigger WR presence.dwarfed the 5-10 db -- Jon Scott

-- Gronkowski walks onto the field in shorts and a t-shirt. As usual, the crowd erupts and yells "Gronk!" -- Derek Havens

-- Amendola, Dobson, Boyce and Thompkins get most reps -- Derek Havens

-- Can't wait for the season to start! Who's with me?? -- Kyle Arrington

If camp has been any indication, we'll see Leon Washington get involved on offense, not just special teams. Just had a HB screen & big gain

As an RB, I've got Washington mostly spelling Vereen. However, with the WR situation and the BB/McD love of matchups, I'm also expecting that we could see both on the field at the same time.

that's a bad gif with the lips

that wasn't the one intended, copied the wrong link

Brady having communication issues with Dobson and new WRs who aren't making adj's

Do yourself a favor and don't believe a word Nick Underhill writes ever again. He likes to editorialize in an effort to appear intelligent and it usually backfires.

Unless you see the same report confirmed in two other places, just ignore it. Frankly, I wouldn't even read him in the first place, but might just be me.

Is Underhill the "writer" who produced the grammatical abomination "would have went" in that story?

Yes. I noticed that too. Horrible.

Brady having communication issues with Dobson and new WRs who aren't making adj's

Only a matter of time before this popped up. I'm sure we'll see more than a few communication errors early. The key will be Brady being patient enough to keep working with the youngsters.

Will Adrian Wilson be a cover linebacker? Who will be the ss?
That would be my guess. AW can be a great pick up for us....if he is used in spots that accentuate his strengths and hide his weaknesses. These are those "situations"

1. Inside the 20 SS
2. Short Yardage/GL SS
3. Passing down cover LB
4. Man to Man cover on selected TE'sn

Those situations will get him on the field better than half the defensive snaps, and will make him more than worth the investment we made in him

I do NOT want to see him on the field as part of a shell defense playing more than 10 y d deep. I don't want to see him playing anything but cover LB or man on the TE, on passing downs.

Between the 20's he's a first down SS a best and maybe not even that. Inside the 20's he can be a big impact player. JMHO

That's it! Get Branch, Moss and Gaffney back in here.

[/sarcasm]

Wish that information could be expanded upon. Has it been happening all practice? One route? All rookie receivers? Before the snap? Not that anyone here has that information. Those are just questions that came to my head when reading it.

Strong start so far. RT @ErikFrenz: Whether he's targeted or not, Dobson's release makes me go "wow" nearly every time.

It's probably been happening. Haven't seen exact stats, but Brady has had a decent amount of incompletions and interceptions. Some of those have probably been on Brady, some of the INTs might have been on good defensive plays, but it's logical to presume that some number of both have been due to communication errors., i.e. receivers not being on the same page with Brady.

Ya I normally stay away from his stuff but had to read how he thought T.Wilson was in the the doghouse. Which it seemed like he was basing his opinion on McCourty and A.Wilson being on the sideline and Gregory and Harmon getting 1st team reps at some point in practice and because T.Wilson was not with that group he must be in the doghouse.

They have what, 6-7 safeties in training camp right now? You can't have 6 guys in practice taken 1st team reps at the same time, because the equates to less overall reps.

Plus it was reported multiple times that he was seen taken 1st team reps.

Just seems to me like Underhill decided to find where T.Wilson was at the point in practice saw he wasn't with the first team and decided he must be in the doghouse.

Really piss poor reporting if you ask me.

Mostly quick, physical at times. RT @ChrisTrapasso: Quick or physical off the line? Or both?

^In regards to Dobson.
