no overtime at least it ends the suffereing

What a painful way to go ...

Where the hell did Chicago fans get all those seats?

The Bruins lost their heads in the final 90 seconds of that match. That's all it takes and surprise surprise, the little breaks went Chicago's way again. Chicago was good enough to capitalize on those pieces of fortune and deserve their win.

Crushing as a Bruins fan but they have nobody to blame but themselves. I'm still amazed that the Blackhawks did that. They had no right winning this game. Champions win when they are being beaten. Chicago proved to be the better team.

First word that came to mind also was deserve. However, deserve gets assigned not to the Hawks (at least for this game) but to the Bruins. Great season......but elimination game of the Stanley Cup championship and you allow 2 Hawks to be in front of the net with 1 Bruin in the last 2 minutes when you are up one goal?? Huh? Bruins should have been camped there! And the second goal, it looked like half effort, like unaware of the gravity of the situation. Just looked ridiculously easy, like the game was 6 - 0 and it was just a give up goal because the game was already way out of reach.
Deserve is right, as in deserve to lose (unfortunately)

Few things hurt more than your opponent celebrating a championship at your home venue. :(

Say that the B's gave all they had, but that's BS. This was their cup to win as much as Chicago. They chocked and the better team won. Two things that need to happen for next year....1) Seguin needs to grow a pair and learn how to play physical and take it to the net and 2) Jagr needs to ride off into the sunset, he is toast. Phucking ***** this sucks!

Perfectly stated Aus. Chicago overall proved to be the better team. But with this game, the Bruins allowed them to take that title tonight just as much as they earned it. They earned it, no doubt, but that was an appalling minute of unforced poor play given the situation...

Still numb but congrats Chicago.

Bruins really slowed down after the first 3 games. Chicago just looked much faster and got to more pucks the last few games. Good adjustments by Chicago mid series.

The defense slowly fell apart after Campbell was lost for the year.

Dropping multiple F bombs against a backdrop of way too many red jerseys...

Sucks.

So...what's next? Shark Week?

Krug is a poor defenseman, the Bruins need another stout defenseman who can also control the luck without turning it over

I'm no hockey aficionado, but didn't it look like Chara was a split-second late reacting much of the time? He's a big obstacle in there but long-limbed guys just aren't as quick.

Agree. I had been thinking this for a couple games, Chara wasn't 'Chara like' last game or this game. He just looked off, a bit slower than normal. I wonder if it was just a bad stretch or he was harboring an injury....

I can't remember Chara playing a good game since game 3 of the series. I have no doubt we'll find out that he'd been playing after having open heart surgery or something of the like.

The entire team really slowed down after game3 or game4 of the series. Looked noticeably slower. The first few games the defense was great and suffocating the Chicago lines. Not sure what happened.

The Bruins need better defensemen depth next year. They had their first pair play way too many minutes to compensate after Campbell went down, Chara is 37 years old, and their other defensive pairings have serious flaws in playing stout defense and/or in puck control and accurate passes.

Link?

What a BEAST, I don't even know how he could do that, he was moving around not great but not like he was nursing serious injuries to his torso.
