Patriots' Hernandez questioned by police in homicide probe

Not open for further replies.
Victim has been living with his Uncle in Dorchester for many years, according to the Uncle.

Living with and staying with can be argued as meaning two different things.

Too much vague information that is not enough to draw any conclusions:

1. Not wanting to cooperate could be nothing more than saying: “I’m sorry, but I’m saying nothing until my attorney arrives” (very smart)

2. Not willing to let the cops search without a warrant is not something unthinkable. We’re talking about a high-profile person here, and if you put yourself in Hernandez’s shoes for a second, you’d realize that even if you have nothing to hide in connection with this murder, you still wouldn't want strangers going through your personal stuff. The guy could have a mega gay-porn collection for all we know, that he won’t feel comfortable with the avg. Joe cop seeing and running to tell the tabloids about…. Who knows… Or maybe he’s got some pot stashed in the house (nothing to do with the murder), but obviously doesn't want the cops to find. The bottom line is that Hernandez knows his rights, and doesn't have to let anyone in if he doesn't want to. Let them get a warrant first, if it’s that important .

3. I doubt AH is dumb enough to:
a. Do anything remotely as stupid as killing someone
b. Rent a car in his name/address to be used in a murder (even if he hired someone to do the job for him)
c. Leave the car at the scene

4. We’re on day two now, on what appears to be a very clear cut with regards to whether Aaron is involved in this or not (car in his name, registered to his address). The fact that he hasn't been arrested, means he probably won’t (hope I’m right here).

Before anyone casts judgment on his "uncooperation,".... (not that I think you were, but others are...) I tend to wonder how fast anyone reading this would lawyer up if cops suddenly started banging on their door and asking about a vehicle rented in your name being involved with a murdered victim found barely a mile from their house? You know damn well the next step is a search and some questions implying you are a "suspect," or at least a "person of interrest."

ABC-TV reporting that Lloyd was shot in the head.

The hopeful scenario here is that this is the product of a drug deal gone bad elsewhere and that Lloyd was tracked down to N. Attleboro where he may have sought to get away to lay low for a while.

Globe reports that Lloyd was always seen driving a "variety" of cars around which suggests that he may have depended on Hernandez's goodwill (i.e., renting a car for him) for transportation.

Interesting. I wonder if this was a former jilted lover of Hernandez's girlfriend's sister killing the new lover. Crime of passion (Obviously). Just praying Hernandez was not involved, and hearing that the victim was dating Hernandez's GF's sister, makes me think he wasn't involved.

Wonder if his girlfriend is involved though? If he's covering for her...

If your job is so irrelevant, then why did you bring it up?

In response to your comment about what a lawyer would do, I noted that I'm a lawyer. This is basic stuff.

Yeah. Sure. And to demonstrate how much you "don't care" what I think, you've responded to my posts about 10 times in this thread.

Yes, I've responded to your posts. What does that have to do with my caring about what you think? You've made accusations which others might have been foolish enough to buy, so I've responded to them. If I ignore your posts, you'll claim I'm ignoring you because I'm afraid of you, or some other stupid thing.

Now you're just lying about my statements. What I said was that a lawyer would advise an innocent client to allow his house to be searched (with the lawyer present if possible) and not force the police to get a warrant.

I didn't lie about your statements, at all.

It sure looks to me like that is exactly what happened last night.

We have no idea what happened last night.

Very active investigation in N Attleboro. Don't make assumptions on info as it's developing. No suspects named. #wcvb

Maybe Tebow should start practicing his route running, just in case.

Absolutely. I would! Cops banging on my door? Murder? Vehicle rented in my name? a mile from my house?

****, I’m employed by the NFL. I have nothing to hide, but I’m one of the top 5 TEs in the NFL, and have to report to Mr. Gingerbread. One stupid word I may say can cost me a suspension, or worse, being cut by the team. Screw that. This scene outside my house is already costing me unnecessary bad publicity. I’m not saying anything until my lawyer is here. Thank you very much.

In which case both sisters would have been taken in for interviewing. Neither of them were, according to the Globe.

If that is the case, Hernandez looks like a victim of coincidence that he was killed in a car rented by him.

Does anyone know if Hernandez's girlfriend's sister lives with them. The police may be searching the house for evidence on her.

Could be.

OR their close association to the victim included unsavory characters who did the victim in

or the victim did something to the GF's sister and someone took revenge

or the community of acquaintances were involved in illegal activity and someone pissed someone off

My point being that it's not just coincidence. Myriad possibilities. Many very bad. A few completely innocent.

I highly doubt that Ms. Curran has information regarding when the murder occurred because that has not been officially determined regarding 'what hour' this happened.

So - does this mean that your information is not solid? Ok.......

PWP: So true

and then you proceed to draw one. Totally unwarranted. It's not a cop show. In real life if there's no exigent likelihood that a suspect presents a danger to the public or those around him, the cops wait to build a case before arresting, especially if it's a high profile wealthy suspect who can buy the best lawyers.

Thanks, always good advice. Cap hit = $5M with savings of $1.5. Agree of course that this is a remote possibility.

Try that again: the Pats LOSE $1.5M in cap space in 2013 if they cut/trade him . . . and then they take a $7.5M dead money hit in 2014, too.

Perhaps. But in this case, it seems that there aren't too many pieces left to connect. I think AH would have been charged by now, if there was a case against him.

You're reading way too much into that.
