Yeah but not a 8-10 million dollar upgrade

Pats thought thomas was a 7 mill upgrade..and that turned out horribly. All i am saying is if the reports are wrong and he will take a 6-7 million deal..do we think about it

He isn't a freak athlete and that's what I believe we need. Someone special who doesn't just rely on a high motor.

Also, it's pretty well-known that Belichick likes players that have performed well against him in the past. Kruger fails that pretty miserably

Week 3: 3 tackles, 1 QB Hit, 0 Sacks
Playoff game: 4 tackles (0 solo), 0 QB Hit, 0 Sacks

I think in the sacks category..he would be an upgrade

I think that's really what it comes down to. Sure he'd be an upgrade probably, but not so much that he'd be worth that kind of deal.

If he is "only" asking 6-7 million a year aav, then maybe that's a different story. Much like all of the other players we speak of, I'll defer to the man who knows much more than any of us. I honestly don't think it happens though. I think someone else will overpay and that will be that.

It's hard to tell if he'll be the player he has in his first 80% in the league, or the last 20%, and to me that's probably not worth the gamble of big money.

he's Mark Anderson dose pretty much notting for most of he's career then has a big year and playoffs and gets over paid and dose notting with he's new team

I wouldn't say it went horribly. Thomas was a friggin beast his first season here and was pretty good in his 2nd year before he ended up being shutdown for the season. Didn't Colvin going down force him to play ILB if I remember correctly? I remember him having a good super bowl as well. The way Thomas left left a bad taste in people mouths imo and people forget what he did in his first two seasons. Was he what everyone expected? No. But, he was still a pretty good player. Who could forget his take down of Brett Favre and Leon Washington.

Think Colvin going down forced him to play OLB.

Yeah I think I may have gotten it backwards. Shame Colvin went down, really hurt that defense.

One year wonder who's "wonder year" wasn't even that great who wants a big time contract while he was arguably the fourth best linebacker on his own team.

Yeah, no thanks. I'd rather not pay for another bust who doesn't even fit our scheme.

There are 2 Kruger brothers in the draft this year. So, if we don't sign Paul, we could draft one of his 2 brothers.
