I think he is a hell of a player and his teammates feed off his energy but he has only played in 24 games - out of a possible 48 - in 3 years. So would you want him on the Pats if you knew he would only be able to go for say 11 games a year?

id take ihm in a hearbeat

Hmmm, let me think......YES!!!

i thinlk you know the answer , of course we could use bob sanders, do you feel the need for support? its kind of a no brainer

What team wouldnt want Bob Sanders is my question.

What team wouldnt want Bob Sanders is my question.

I'd rather have Troy Polamalu (best Safety by far) or Ed Reed (if you want an INT, please throw on his side of the field)... but I'd take Sanders. Though his reckless style does put him on the injured list more than normal.

Nah. I hate hard-nosed safeties who lay the lumber on fools.

The Colts are an exceptionally talented team that was able to win 12 games this year without him but how many teams can carry a guy that will miss so many games. Like I said in 3 years he has 6, 14 and 4 games. Obviously he was a huge part of the Colts but what is he worth as a player? Would you rather have Sanders or an average player that will be there every game and you know that you won’t have to resort to your back-up safety for 5-7 games a year?

I'd rather have Ed Reed on my team, anyday of the week and twice on Sunday.

Lest we forget, Rodney hasn't exactly played all 48 either.

Would I want Bob Sanders? It isn't as easy of a question as it sounds.

I would love to have a guy as talented as him, but his size will probably make him injury prone his entire career. He is a small guy like 5-8 or so and he hits like some of the bigger, more physical safeties in the league. The problem is he body isn't going to hold up going full force into a RB the size of Corey Dillon like Rodney Harrison or Brian Dawkins would.

Sanders has played 21 regular season games in his three year career and has only played more than 4 regular season games one year and has never played a full 16 game season.

The guy is an All Pro when he is on the field, but he is rarely on the field. I would take a solid safety who can stay healthy over Sanders. Sanders didn't help the Colts for the 12 games this year he missed due to injury where a healthy solid safety would have.

take away Reed, Polamalu and big names..and gimme Kerry Rhodes from Jets..future all pro

Lest we forget, Rodney hasn't exactly played all 48 either.

Rodney isn't a 25 year old player with three years in the league. Sanders hasn't hit his prime yet. Rodney is past it.

I would take Rodney at 25 over Sanders now anyday.

Hmmmm.....a secondary player.....missed half the games.....sounds like a perfect fit for the Pats!

Ok, it is 24 games. ESPN's site lists only three games for 2004 on his career stats page, but when you look at his individual year stats it is six games.

Next question: Would you want LT on the Pats?

He would say nicethings about BB, too.

Thanks for doing the typing for me.

Yes to Sanders, Urlacher, Reggie Wayne, LT, Champ Bailey, etc.

The Pats had him in for a couple looks before the 2004 draft. There was talk they would take him in round 2m the Colts ended up taking him at 44. There was debate about why they took Watson and let Sanders slip...

Tough call, I would error on the side of defense especially when we had Graham and Fauria was still servicable.

Don't worry ................ Michael Griffin to the rescue!

With the 28th selection in the 2007 NFL draft, the New England Patriots select Michael Griffin, safety from Texas.
