"New York Jets offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo said Thursday that he detests his left guard rotation between Matt Slauson and Vladimir Ducasse, but that decision isn't up to him.

"That's a directive from high above me," the offensive line coach said Thursday in a testy sit-down with reporters, via The Associated Press. "You'd have to ask somebody higher than me......."

IMO this situation is extreme enough to deserve its own thread. An assistant coach complaining to the media that the head coach is making lousy decisions about who to play, and describing the inadequacies of specific players in his charge?

I thought before this that Rex would be given one more year, but now he's lost control of not only his players but his coaches.

On that list? Probably one, Wilkerson who's been good up front for them. Shonn Greene has been serviceable I guess for a the third rounder. Everyone else has been disappointing... and man does that feel good
