Jets offensive line coach disagrees with decision - NFL.com

"New York Jets offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo said Thursday that he detests his left guard rotation between Matt Slauson and Vladimir Ducasse, but that decision isn't up to him.

"That's a directive from high above me," the offensive line coach said Thursday in a testy sit-down with reporters, via The Associated Press. "You'd have to ask somebody higher than me......."

".......DeGuglielmo said despite his misgivings, he will continue the rotation.
"What's best is for me to do what I'm told to do," he said. "That's what's best......."

The New York jets, a joke of endless punch lines

Wow! That franchise sure produces a lot of feces. And then goes out of its way to step in it.

THANK YOU JETS

IMO this situation is extreme enough to deserve its own thread. An assistant coach complaining to the media that the head coach is making lousy decisions about who to play, and describing the inadequacies of specific players in his charge?

I thought before this that Rex would be given one more year, but now he's lost control of not only his players but his coaches.

Situations such as this make me believe that this will be Rex Ryan's last year as coach of that team. And that makes me sad. :(

Norv Turner may be available. That would be a nice silver lining.

I think we should organize a class action lawsuit against the NFL. They deceived us into thinking we were watching the Patriots play against another professional NFL team. Jets = Washington Generals.

Rex makes an entertaining punching bag to be sure, but it's the inevitable loss of Tannenbaum that I'll really mourn. He's the one who has hit the deadly double of personnel development: dire cap trouble + dire lack of young talent.

Check out the Jets' day 1 & 2 draft picks over the past five years. How many of them would you say have turned out to be worth their draft slots?

1 Quinton Coples
2 Stephen Hill
3 Demario Davis
1 Muhammad Wilkerson
3 Kenrick Ellis
1 Kyle Wilson
2 Vladimir Ducasse
1 Mark Sanchez
3 Shonn Greene
1 Vernon Gholston
1 Dustin Keller

I think it's coming from above Rex...like all the way up at Tanny who wants to justify picking Ducasse in the 2nd round.

From my perspective, every single one.

Here's some further perspective:
------------------------------------------

The guy doing the public whining is their OFFENSIVE LINE COACH.

.....folks, that's their Dante Scarnecchia...........!!!!!!!!

Can there be any more contrast between the New England Patriots' and the New York Jets' culture??????

They simply cannot shut up. It's an organizational thing.

On that list? Probably one, Wilkerson who's been good up front for them. Shonn Greene has been serviceable I guess for a the third rounder. Everyone else has been disappointing... and man does that feel good :D

Perhaps this is what it is all about, their craving for twitter followers and facebook likes is greater than their need to create a team...

It is about the individual attention..

No doubt that Tennenbomb (see what I did there?) is the laxative that makes the diharrea flow in New Jersey. So I'm right there with you as well. Thing is, I think that Tanny is gone with Rex.

Hmmmm, well the NFL is already basing their Sunday Night Football theme on a song by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts; but she has another song "Cherrybomb".

T-t-t-t-t-tannenbomb!!!!!!!!

That's got potential.
