The newest member of the New England Patriots has only been with the team for three days since returning from his suspension, but it's safe to say cornerback Aqib Talib is happy with the trade that brought him to Foxborough.

What's the best game on the Week 11 slate? The worst? Ian Rapoport provides a pecking order in his Rap Sheet Rankings. More ...

"Guys have been great. They've embraced me. I love this team," Talib told reporters Thursday via Brian Lowe of Patriots.com.

And we love you. Please cover somebody.

Thanks in advance...

I am actually pretty dang pumped about this guy. He has the ability to easily be a shutdown, top five corner in the league if he can just get his head screwed on straight.

I think the Pats have the locker room and leaders on the team to do just that.

Here is to a great second half of the season and hopefully a new, improved look on the defensive side of the ball. :rocker:

After three whole days?!? I hope he works out, but these puff pieces are weak.

What the eff do they expect him to say ... " I wish i were a green bean" :bricks:

Ahhh he finally breaks the silence. Can't tell you how relieved I am to know he doesn't hate it here.

A good performance at the weekend and fans will love him too :D

A tall, physical CB...who locked BB in a cupboard on trade deadline day? :p

Lets see.....Remain a member of the 3-6 Bucs team going nowhere or a 6-3 Patriots team heading to the playoffs from a cupcake division.

The answer seems easy, anyone would love that move.

Next thing you know, he's gonna be making a huge deal of his "2 week anniversary". :p

I just thought it was a good sign. I am pretty sure there aren't many players going to the press saying how they are happy that the Jaguars picked them up and that they love the team...

Lots of sarcasm, but I get it, he said what he was supposed to say. :(

Here is how the gameday thread will read after his first play

Scenario A: He makes an INT

Fans : OMG, OMFG, Find of the year , SB here we come..........

Scenario B : Luck throws a TD to the WR being covered by Talib

Fans: BB has lost his mojo, this team sucks, trade Welker for a CB.........

Good points.
Thanks for reminding my forgetful brain to stay out of the manic-depressive game day threads.

Thats quite funny...I must admit that I will probably over react too for the first couple of mins:rolleyes:

I know these puff pieces produce the same, canned responses from all involved but, if the guy has just an ounce of heart in him, you gotta know he's happy to be playing on a team where he can expect to still play in meaningful games in December - and beyond.

Bucs are actually pretty good they are 5-4 and won 4 out of 5.

I know it's probably been posted, but what were the takes on him when he got drafted back in 08(?); I think I remember him being regarded as a 1st rounder and that he was a bit of a head case? Was he ever interviewed by us predraft? What did the draft posters here think of him?

I think I was probably the first person on the board to suggest that the Pats trade for Talib, so I'm as optimistic as anyone. But Albert Haynesworth and Chad Ochocinco were also euphoric after being traded to the Pats ... it's too early to make anything out of this. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this one works out. We desperately need a good man coverage CB. Hell, any kind of CB.

Haynesworth and Chad said the same thing, so I don't particularly care one way or the other, but for however little it's worth, he did say the right thing.
