This is one player that I can give you guys the low-down on early because Wazzu's my team.

Anyhow, Jason Hill (WR) is having a great Senior Bowl week. On NFL network, one scout was mentioned as raving about his blocking. I really don't why the heck nfldraftcountdown ever put down his weakness as run-blocking. He has an unbelievable work ethic and excels at run-blocking.

Hill's got great acceleration. He can stop on a dime. He's a great vertical threat. Wazzu run's the spread offense, and whenever we wanted a TD, we just threw to Hill. He caught 32 TD in his career.

He came back his Senior year and got hurt early in the season. Playing injured all year really messed up his Senior stats.

Also, one more thing. When I saw Hill on T.V., I know he's definitely been hitting the weights -- he looks stronger.

FWIW Kiper has him "Early Day 2" right now. Maybe he has him undervalued but he clearly thinks we could get him in the second round.

He was interviewed after the Senior Bowl - I LIKE HIM. No comment on his game but he has the same spark, well spokeness that was so immediate with The Twig. If you guys are right about his game, he's a guy to look at because he has an immediate personality.

I watched that too. He sounded like an intelligent guy, although he had an LT-esque moment when he said, "I'm a smart guy so..." But like I said in the other thread about him, I really wanna see his wonderlic score to see how bright he really is.

You really have to be careful about where theses guys are projected. I remember reading about Hank Baskett last year and he was projected as a 2nd-3rd rounder.

Now as you all may remember, he wasn't drafted at all, but he signed as a FA and had a pretty solid year with Philly.

I'm thinking if you aren't the "light up the scoreboard" type of WR you may be devalued, and since he isn't a burner, he may be in a similar situation to Baskett. If Hill could become a solid David Givens-type who could be had on Day 2 I'd love to draft him.

Did you hear him drop the N-Bomb on A.Allison. After Allison't td reception. A couple of guys came over to congragulate him. Hill was one of the last and says somethink like; "All day n****r...all day." He did look good.

LOL, that's standard talk isn't it ? (for African Americans, that is - not for me )
