Belichick knows his defense can't stop a nosebleed

When Bill had Rodney,Tedi and Asante out there he always went for it...it's a different and less talented defensive team and the gamble is that much bigger

That's very true, but every now and then when it's really obvious and we are driving he settles for a risky Gostowski kick or punt instead of going for it.

When the performance is worse than the talent, it points to bad coaching. I think this has been Belichik's worst year.

You're right. There's just no continuity on either side of the ball . . . no identity . . . no killer instinct. There's too much talent on this team for it to be like this.

I think if Brady was lighting up the scoreboard before that play,Bill would have gone for it,but seeing the offense not playing well and the defense it's usual generous self,changes your normal gamble.
