So you are saying, with the current score being Pats 16 Jets 10, if the Jets score a TD the score won't be 17-16????

I don't understand all of these stupid trick plays. I really don't. Just run the ball, drive down field, get the short pass. This offense is becoming a shell of what its truly capable of. This defense is not that good right now and we can't even get back down the field.

Yup. All of that nonsense worked in 2007, but it's stupid. I wish we had a more vertical offense as well. Whatever, though. It is what it is at this point. I don't know what more can be said.

In particular, the Brady-to-Brandon Lloyd connection is way off. It doesn't seem as if Patriots have settled on a matchup that they truly like. Their lone touchdown drive came out of the 1 WR/3 TE/1 RB grouping, in which the Jets matched with their base defense and the Patriots spread the field and had success with the Patriots. The Jets quickly adjusted to play nickel against that grouping, and the Patriots couldn't run against it, which got them out of that grouping.

This is the big difference vs the denver game where they were able to run the ball on nickel.

will say..brady hasnt particularly looked great so far...some bad decisions...and missed opportunities. Lloyd hasnt either...but he's only had 1 really good pass thrown his way

Which is why they are in a fourth down situation, huh? Newsflash: When you have a D that can't stop a nose bleed, you don't risk handing the opposition great field position by gambling on fourth downs. Learn the nuances of the game before throwing out criticisms. The guy is considered one of the greatest coaches of this generation for a reason.

I really don't need a study session on Bill Bellichick, merely stating that a 4th and 1 with this offense shouldn't be a hard thing to accomplish.

We're extremely fortunate the Jets aren't up 17-16 at this point. This is going to be another game where our offense needs to put it together in the second half in order for us to win.
