If someone would've told me yesterday that the Pats would be up 23-10 with 8:00 minutes left, and accumulate 465 yards and 23 or 25 first downs against Russell Wilson, and asked me how much I would be willing to bet that the Seahawks win-- I might've bet the house.

This was a terrible loss, because we couldn't finish a lesser team. We lacked mental toughness in a hostile environment. The playcalling felt like we were pulling plays out of a bag; dysfunctional.

Yeah, it's early, but last week were running for 200 yards and the next week Brady is throwing the football 55 times only to lose the game.

Welker and Brady both look banged up, Bolden, Chung, and Lloyd are injured.

Coaching is inconsistent. The secondary should've all retired after four years of eligibility in the NCAA.

With the way were playing we'll be lucky to finish 9-7. Win a game or two, lose a game and on and on....

Wanna bet on 9-7? That's what I thought...

The usual subjects of the card carrying members of the Chicken Little Foundation come out of woodworks after a loss.

Sean Pa Patriot was making similar predictions about the Pats last year after they lost back to back games.

gee you let russel wilson to complete at least 5 passes over 30 yards .. and including the game winner... hmmm i think that calls for a avg secondary... as usual homers kiss but on this site....

Like I said in another thread. We got 400+ offensive yards, Brady passing for 395 of them. 2 touchdowns, 2 interceptions. Put up 23 points on the best defense in the league. The only comparative QB that played the Seahawks is Rodgers who put up 223 passing yards, threw for 0 of them, put up a total of 12 points. Brady was not perfect but he was good enough for us to win. The problem is that with our secondary good enough doesn't cut it. Most of the blame has to go on the secondary. I can't believe Belichick hasn't done something to fix it yet. If we had an average secondary, we win today's game and the Ravens game. Our 3 losses were by a combined 4 points. These are tough losses that the Patriots will learn from.

Were you watching the same game. We moved the ball at will against them from 20 to 20, only to mishandle the clock (half) or throw an interception while our defense did their job for 3 full quarters.

We gave that game up through poor coaching and execution.

We're having the same issues we had last year. The outside/deep passing game and secondary coverage.

On top of that our playcalling is Bipolar.

I detect sarcasm in your post. Around this time last year, Sean predicted the Pats would be lucky to get into the playoffs and if they did, they were definitely one and done. We laughed at him then. And who got the last laugh last season. Oh yeah, the people who laughed at him.

Not defending some of the poor defensive plays, but it's worth noting the Seahawks only had 4 drives in the first half, and 7 in the second (not including the 8th, which was kneel-downs).

The Seahawks scored twice on their 4 first-half drives (FG, TD), and twice on their 7 second-half drives (TD, TD). The D also forced two turnovers, and in the second half held the Seahawks to 3-and-out 3 times.

The secondary gave up some huge plays, and there's obvious room for improvement. But the offense's problems put the D back out on the field a few extra times. It's not to blame one unit or another, but it does seem like the D is going to bear the big brunt of this.
