I'd love to see some conditional late picks for camp cuts. Have to be good teams that are desperate and think the cuttees will get grabbed off waivers before their turn though.

Reiss speculated that the Giants could be interested in Brace given their need at the DT position:
Random thought from a pure speculation standpoint: The Giants have had a run of injuries along the defensive line and I had the thought that perhaps they might be a trade partner for the Patriots if they were seeking help. Maybe Tom Coughlin dipping into his old BC background and seeing if a change of scenery might bring out the best in Ron Brace? At times in training camp, Brace has looked very good, but there simply might not be room for him on the Patriots' roster.
It's pretty likely that the Pats will cut a lot of guys who will end up making other teams' rosters. Whether they can get anything for them is a whole different matter.
Don't know why Deaderick and Brace are bing compared..we need a heavy presence on the goal line...Deaderick weighs in at 305lbs.Deaderick will make he roster, but not at the expense of someone like Brace.
We have Big Vince (325), Warren (315) and the Brace (330) who has conditioned very well. We ideally need two of these guys for our goal line package at least. I prefer The younger Brace myself but you can't go much wrong with either.
Deaderick >> Brace in my book. From all reports the Pats were using him exclusively at DT in camp so far, and he's been ahead of Brace. IIRC, he played both inside and out at Alabama.
I don't think Brace makes the team. Reiss has suggested the Pats may trade him, though it's pure speculation. I think he's shown some flashes but not enough consistency, and after 3 years consistency is what's needed. Marcus Harrison and Marcus Forston have showed as much, and both have more upside. JMHO.
I really liked what I saw out of Forston and Harrison. I see no room for them so I hope that at least Forston can make it onto PA. Not sure if Harrison has PA eligibility?

Harrison is back down to about 310lbs. The main reason no one wanted the guy in 2011 was the fact he was over weight and unfit. His frame just can't take the added weight. He has a nice first step but not much else.
Played on a pretty average D Line in 2008/2009 which only boasted Tommie Harris and never really lived up to much. Barely played 2010. Failed his conditioning test for panthers in 2011. Signed and released by us all in the space of 24 hours.
I'd want another heavier body in there and I don't see anything more in Harrison...a guy who didn't play a down in 2011. He has to prove a lot to earn a spot.
Brace and Warren provide that...they're superb in goal line packages and I'd settle for either.
Forston is absolutely a PS guy. I think Harrison will find himself on the streets again.

Agreed. At some point it has to stop being worth it to cut other players who could have contributed for a guy who history indicates will probably be IRed by midseason.
