Anyone worried about the flu bug that seems to have hit several Pats, such as Brown, Bruschi? I hope Warren's "personal business" isn't a cover for the flu. NFLNetwork reported the flu bug is running rampant in the lockerroom. They need all the strength and energy they can muster after the barnburner last week.

IMO: no flu bug..just players trying to stay away from the media..and throw a little confusion into the injury report as always.

It's been around for a few days now, still 3 days until game time. Shouldn't be an issue.

What the **** does that mean?

It means forget the John and play the game.

Strap on a depends and get you butt out there.

Damn nasty being in a pile with that player.

I don't know, if you watch some of the RAW practices, some of the guys do have the sniffles and look sick... Bruschi being one of them, he LOOKED sick... We will see... *shrugs*

They look really tired to me. I saw a little bit of Brady and also Seymour's press conferences, and they look like they could use a nap.

That's one of the things I'm worried about, because of all the traveling, and the west coast trip to San Diego, how they're going to hold up late in the game.

Oh well, nothing to do about it. It's the playoffs, the adrenaline will have to be enough.

I definitely worry about the flu. You don't want that thing spreading. I was surprised the 3 players were back at practice today.

Man, you guys know me I'm worried about everything! The Flu, Gisele, Rodney, Hangover from the Chargers, going to the Dome, Peyton is due, you name it I'm worried about it.

But, that's just my way.

I am worried...but then again everything worries me.

Edited to say...I have to stop reading this thread or I will find more things to worry about.

After seeing Brady's friday presser, I have got the jitters. He was in the early stages of being sick, since he showed no symptoms on Wednesday. Why didn't they all get flu shots? Preparation is so key to the Pats, and energy in that crazy dome is a must. The fact that Brady, Bruschi and Brown, all key leaders, seem to have been affected is disconcerting for fans. I'm sticking with my prediction of 34-21 Pats, but it feels like I'm whistling past the gravyard now instead of shouting it from the rooftops.

Flu shots don't prevent you from getting the flu, especially when this year's flu shots are not geared for the strain that's going around.

That's the big gag in the medical community right now. They screwed up the flu shots.

Flu shots are overated. The whole premise is they take the most common strain from last year and make this year's flu shot out of it....generally doesn't work since it won't be the same this year....but it gives people peice of mind. Friends in the medical community tell me to just stay away, that it won't help!

With that said I am sure we will be fine for the game!

I saw the same press conference you did, and he didn't look or act sick to me. His voice was fine, he didn't cough or sneeze or tremble or sweat. How did you reach the conclusion he was sick?

I agree with Tunescribe.

I thought he seemed tired though that could be from answering the same stupid questions all week. And I thought his voice a bit raspy. Also he touched his nose, like he had the sniffles. So maybe he has a cold.

looks like we are becoming again!

do we need a group hug again?

Feel better now?

Bump!

For everyone like me worried about the flu, there are 6 others in denial. This may be rather bad. Why won't anyone believe it's happening? PonyExpress, you may be the Cassandra of Patriot Nation this week!

[Cliff notes: Around the time of the Trojan War, Cassandra was condemned to speak the truth but have nobody believe her.]

Jesus, maybe he's on coke too. :/

Although its a possibility, people need to stop projecting their paranoia on this game.

Oh, and just for reference, the last time Tom Brady had the flu, he lit up the Steelers in an AFC Championship game.
