The more i look at tape of both Chandler Jones and Hightower the more i can see why we traded up for these two (especially jones).
The way Jones conducts himself and how he interacts with his family is very impressive, you can also see the potential there on tape and as others have posted his measurables are basically perfect for what we want.
Hightower on the other hand looks like the mean hard nosed type of player that i personally have been craving for this defense. Spikes definitely brings that type of intensity and Vince does in spurts (to my knowledge) but i am looking forward to seeing hightowers progression in bringing some toughness to this D.
This is no criticism of Mayo he is an all pro MLB who is a freak but one thing you can't underestimate is the intensity of a hightower/spikes. Hightower from the film i saw (even tho i will admit i wasn't looking at him for the pats and the pick was a surprise to me) you can see he plays to the whistle and when he gets to the QB there's no wrap them up... he hits them HARD.
