Compares Lloud's 2010 season with Moss in 2010 interesting stuff, discusses a little Ocho too. Audio from EEi at link:

KC Joyner ESPN insider talks Brandon Lloyd to Patrios and Randy Moss

In short his productivity with deep passes was every bit as good as MOss even with Orton as his QB, the only stat where Moss was better was TD's of course.

If Lloyd can have the type of season he had in 2010 with Brady instead of Orton

Yep, Belichick has addressed WR aggressively this offseason, and a rookie may still be on the way. The offense could use another quality RB but other than that they are in great shape on that side of the ball as things stand right now. The defense is another story and i would expect a number of significant moves on that side of the ball still to come.

KC Joyner insisted in an ESPN-based chat a month ago that Brian Waters was one of the worst offensive lineman in football last year.

That being said, I did enjoy that article.

I like the statistical analysis he does much more than most of the crap spewed by the media whose knowledge is a mile wide and an inch deep.

I'd love to see his followup on that. Being honest, it's difficult for any fan to judge players on the offensive line unless you played OL in college or better. I thought Waters was good last year, really curious to hear if he has any particular/limited insight.

Yeah, that's a WTF comment. If he's right, it just goes to show how twisted the info is that we fans get and the assumptions we carry.

What did say about Stinko?

Nonsense. Lloyd got man coverage after man coverage after man coverage. The league said that year the man has to consistently prove he can beat us.

To his credit he did but clearly after game 1 of 2007. The league treated Moss like Minnesota Randy & he still won. Moss 2007>Lloyd 2010 by a mile.

I think there was a poster on here saying the same thing as KC Joyner.

But, the long ball isn't what im excited about with Lloyd. It's all the medium routes where he leaves is cover guy holding his jock....when teams try to play that press coverage thats been so effective against the Pats offense.

Exactly...he consistently has had one of the worst YAC's in the league past couple years, BUT he's also had more 25+ yd catches than any1 else in the league the past 2 years...sooooo what it means is he knows how to HIGH POINT those balls and BREAK coverage at the right time....

if i remember correctly, he has a 99 spectacular catch in madden 12 haha, lezzzgooooo

I really don't care for this assessment or that assessment. Every single observation suggests that Lloyd is a proven performer in McDaniels' offense. Now, it's over to Lloyd to endear himself to the Patriots players and develop chemistry with Brady.

There are football analysts, and then there are dumbazz analists. Suffice to say Joyner is more of latter than former. To put Lloyd in the same category as Moss is beyond stupidity.

Moss was(in his prime '98-'09) one of the top 3 most feared receivers in the HISTORY of Profootball, despite his persona and antics. You could have Akili Smith chucking up balls back from QB position and Moss would still rack up 85, 1300, 12 a year in his sleep.
