I have some of my Pats stuff, but it's hard to wear "gear" to the office

It took all I had last night not to go off on my friend. His son, 4, was wearing a TB jersey. He said that if the Pats win his son would wear it to "school" the next day. So he hoped they won so he didn't have to find something else for him to wear.

Really?

Are 4 yo's that brutal? When is it too young to teach kids about pride and sportsmanship?

I believe its all about where you live....the closer you are to the teams location,the more likely you will see fans wearing Patriots apparel today.

In my case I didn't wear my Pats stuff last night,a little dissapointed and I wanted nothing to do with football today either,especially in my area which is full of Steelers and Eagles fans who taunt for no reason...and some Giants fans that came back out of the closet for the first time in 4 years.

A kid came into my store today and in a sarcastic way asked me twice about what happened to the Pats.... I told him one more word about the game and I am tossing him out on his ass...I was in no mood for that sh!t.

Yeah, if you're still a home town guy I'm sure its fine. For those of us who live in hostile states (see: anywhere outside of New England), wearing around pats gear is asking for an argument.

Homers always think sportsmanship and fandom is so easy because its hard to have any perspective from inside the fishbowl.

I think a good time to resume wearing the gear without fear of taunting and without remembering the 3 hours of horror would be a few weeks after the Parade is over and all teams back to 0-0 and begin looking at the combine.

The last week of February in 2007 was when I put on my apparel without thinking about it.

I have mine on --Pat Patriot tee and watch--always wear my stuff i think my co-workers would have fit if they didn't see me in a Pats tee



Wait i amend that I wore a bruins tee one day and they all asked were was my Pats tee.

I'm not expecting much grief since I'm in California, but as others have said, if anybody did happen to give me a hard time, it could escalate fairly quickly.

Im in the office so now so no, but would where any pats gear I have with pride. I'm only a game day jersey wearer so those do go away until next year.

I wore my jersey around campus today for the final time this year. I always retire the jersey and won't be wearing it till our Week 1 kickoff.

I'll still wear Pats shirts and jackets and stuff. But my jerseys are only worn during a Pats football game, or after our last game of the season.
