He's the future of your franchise. While he might not take Brady's job this year, he'll have it the following one. The kid does look skinny though.

Eli will never be as good as Brady is now.

NEVER.

Sounds like, from your repeated posts, you're hoping against hope that Brady will leave the game.

We have to be patient. Remember Aaron Rodgers did not play until his 4th season.

Sorry to tell you, but he already is. Eli is clutch.

If I were the Pats, I might look at dealing Brady. This is when you could probably get something for him. At least a #1.

Let us all thank God that you are not the Pats, then.

BB will know when the time is right. The Packers might have stuck with Favre a few years too long, but my guess is that Mallet is not ready after only one season.

In BB we trust.

Giants fan - get lost.

Regarding Mallett, I really like him and I think he could either be the successor to Brady or bring significant return in a trade as long as he keeps his nose clean which he appears to be doing.

I think Mallett is "ready" as young QB go - obviously not for us having Brady but with the offense Mallett played in at Arky and now a year under his belt he'd be ready if he were on a rebuilding team.

You might trust in BB, but he's hasn't done much the last few years. To me, he seems part of the problem. Poor game planning, poor play calling and poor coaching.

and yet the pats make their way to the sb in spit of his incompetence.

I wanted the happy ending, and didn't get it....they could have played better, but didn't

they are 0-0 now and its time to move onto the draft.

Just like Kevin O'Connell, the last heir apparent, when he takes over for Brady.

Mallet has done exactly squat in his NFL career and there is no evidence to indicate he will ultimately be a starting NFL quarterback. I would take Hoyer over Mallet, and I do not want to see Hoyer starting for the Pats.

Lets see 14-2 last year, this year we made it to the Superbowl.. there are about 29 teams who are envious of our accomplishments...

You do know that you can become a Giants Fan, don't you. They love folks to hop on their bus...

Do you have another coach in mind?? Pete Carroll is still in Seattle..

f..ing trolls, all over this board.

Disagree. He has assembled a long list of talented youngsters who have not yet reached their prime, Mayo, Gronkowski, Hernandez, Solder, Vollmer, Brandon Spikes, Chung, Ridley, Arrington ( led NFL in INTs ), and maybe even Mallet. These guys will all get better each of the next few years.

The competition between Brady and Mallett over the next 3-4 years will bring out the best in both of them. If the time comes when Mallett gives them a better chance to win, he will be in there. As a pure thrower, he obviously has more ability, but he has long way to go to reach Brady's mastery of the offense.

So are you a troll or just stupid?

Bill is a good coach, but it seems the game might have passed him by. I'd take 5 or 6 coaches over him.

That's an intelligent comment. Kevin O'Connell was a bad quarterback in the freaking WAC, where defense is entirely optional. Ryan Mallett was a great quarterback in the SEC. Mallett was the Pats No. 1 rated QB in the entire draft. Let me assure you that the same was not true of Mr. O'Connell. We're talking about completely different tiers of talent here. Mallett can legitimately push Brady if he continues to improve.

Become? I'm virtually certain this troll already is.

Why do we have to choose? :bricks:

OTOH, trolls like this make me appreciate posters like jcdavey and pherein all the more.
