Re: New york Media: Brady is planning victory party.

The Pats Media Dept. did a miserable job with this. Everything....I mean everything should have been scripted. Honestly I don't see the point of pep rallies, never have, never will.

Your first Super Bowl non-story story | ProFootballTalk

Starved for a storyline, we saw a number of New York-area reporters on Sunday evening bring this quote up to Brady and other Patriots as if Brady had made a Joe Willie-style guarantee.

ESPNNewYork.com had a headline that said “Brady planning victory party.” Sigh.

We can’t wait to see the back covers in New York Monday. (You know it’s a bad sign when PFT thinks someone is stretching for a story.)

I wonder if the NY press is a little edgy about the Giant comments, and media attitude?

Re: New york Media: Brady is planning victory party.

He said hopefully....so why is it an issue?

Cowards. If you are going to write an article that is only intended for page hits, at least include your name instead of "ESPN NY staff"

Cowards.

The IQ of New Yorkers and the NY media is pretty bad.

They can't even read well. Hopefully we'll have a victory party.

That's what he said.

PATS16NO. What is best in life?
We're going to break the Giants this time.
We're going to break them.
and...and to hear the lamentation of their fans.

I think you're right.

I was honestly embarrassed for the paper when I saw the victory parade thing. There wasn't any news involved, just an opinion in giant font. I think they were hoping for some sort of reaction from this side, and instead it just dangled in the wind.

Now they are twisting words spoken at a pep rally. Very pathetic on their part. Can't wait until they are done with the media and can focus on the game.

Unfortunately it's just getting started.. we still have media day plus at least three other days of Giants players talking trash.

After media day, it won't surprise me if we don't see or hear from the Patriots again until game time.
I expect to hear LOTS of trash from the Giants.

Yeah, I agree, but with that said, I'm also tired of being afraid of acting / sounding confident. We've heard the Giants talk enough smack this week. It's our turn to show that we're as confident as ever. F*ck the NY media.

I'd liek to see our Boston media firing back as well. But, half of them seem to be more interesting in stirrign the pot than supporting the local economy/team.

Good for you

As for me who was there, I just want to show the team my support since I couldn't go to Indy.

I don't see nothing wrong with what Brady said. He never gaurenteed a victory. Brady said HOPEFULLY our party next week will be bigger. What's wrong with confidence? This is so rated PG compared to some of the things that Giants players has & are going to say.

This team is the #1 seed in the AFC, they should act and feel good about themselves vs a team that barely made the playoffs. What Brady said was basically harmless compared what you will hear from the Giants I bet tomorrow and media day. It sickens me to see fans and the Boston media act scared. Ugh..
