I must have forgotten, what's NE's winning streak? its GOT to be less than the Giants considering they are the HOT team right?

oh wait....

i love the media, they dont even need facts to make cryptic statements anymore, the above is also used to denote them the team of destiny (?)

though i cannot complain, i hope EVERY analyst (excecpt michael) goes out there and picks the giants to win this game

Reason is the giants beat GB and now SF..beat pretty good teams

I don't want to take anything away from the Pats but the Giants did upset the Jets and Cowboys at the very end of the season, and it was with massive playoff implications. Then they went and beat 3 good teams.

Whereas the Pats did make a long run after the Giants defeat, albeit most of these wins came from scrub teams. Furthermore, they re-beat a scrub team in playoffs after a bye week. So the Ravens are basically the only legit win in a very long time.

So in conclusion, the Giants are the better story.

espns also saying Eli is playing better than brady. Love the overhyping, keep it coming! I'm sure brady will love to hear that haha.

In 2007 the Patriots had won 18 in a row going into the SB against the Giants. The Giants are playing their best football right now.

The Patriots are playing their best football now as well.

The Pats are getting hot at the right time. :rocker:

I'd prefer that all the good press went to the Giants. Let the Pats have the disrespect card.

basically this.

I am nervous for this game naturally as this is a hard matchup for the pats...

But for some reason i just have a feeling about how much BB and TB are hurting after 2007 and how much this team is playing for MHK.

There's something about this team, i didn't think we would make it this far... i hopped but my realistic expectations were 12-4 and win at least 1 playoff game. This team has done better than i expected but now i just want one more win.

Same gibberish we have been hearing all season:
Brady isn't as good as Rodgers/Brees
Defense can't stop a nosebleed
Belichick has lost his edge
Haven't beat a winning team
Haven't won a playoff game in 4 years

It's not just the media. Read some of the posts on this board. One of my favorites is the Giants now have a defense as good as the Ravens. Hysteria over the Giants is bubbling up everywhere.

There is no question the Giants are playing their best football right now. And they have had to plow a pretty good road to get where they are. The Patriots have a relative uphill battle to win the SB. But the Giants have not been dominant by any stretch. They have often found a way to win by playing solid and taking advantage of other teams miscues (sound like a another team we all know?). The Giants probably wouldn't be here if not for 2 unforced errors by a Niner team with a mediocre offense. The Giants probably wouldn't be here is not for a lot unforced boneheaded plays by GB. Again this hysterical dread over the Giants is puzzling.

IF the Patriots OL plays as they have for many weeks now (as they played against a good Denver DL and a good Raven DL), I do not know why people think the Brady no huddle will be unsuccessful. We put up 23 on the Ravens turning the ball over 3 times and we'll put up 30+ on the Giants if we don't turn the ball over.
Oh that's right, the tingling on the back of peoples necks says the Giants are dreadfully scary.....

Yeah, you can't buy into the hysteria. Remember, there was a lot of angst going into the game against Denver. Perceptions =/= reality.

The Giants have a secondary that can be exposed. If the Packers receivers hadn't have dropped 59 passes or whatnot, they probably would have won that game. The Giants D-Line is very good, but the Pats' O-Line has played very well this year, and better than I've seen in many years. If Brady has some time, he'll shred that Giants secondary.

Eli is playing better than Brady right now, with "right now" meaning "last game."

Hopefully it's a hot and cold thing, w/6 more touchdowns ready to dump on the Gintz in a couple weeks

To the 'I dread the Giants' gang, please read the above post! The Giants secondary IS beatable. The Patriot OL's pass protection IS playing as well as any OL in the league over many weeks (and was just tested by two good DLs in Denver and Baltimore).
IF Brady has time, unless he just outright plays poorly, will be able to move the ball consistently. And as long as the Patriots move the ball, we can beat anyone.....not that we will win but we can beat anyone when our offense is moving the ball. Just about the entire 2011 season backs that up. Other thing to note about the dreadfully frightening Giants:
Rushing D: GB put up 147 yards on the Giants. A pass challenged Niners put up 150.
Giant OL: How many times was Eli sacked and hit in the Niner game? Rushing total against SF, 85. Against GB, 95.
