Broncos Fans Talking Super Bowl

I'd rather see the 49ers in there than the Saints, just because the Saints won a SB more recently and I don't want to see the "Brees is better than Brady!" gaining traction. But a Saints/Broncos SB wouldn't be bad either.

lol, you guys get so vein sometimes, hehe. Ben won 2 and you don't hear it. I would be shocked if that happened. Unless of course if Brees beat Brady in a SB. But, if I was a Pats fans, and I guess we are underground fans, I would want Brady to kick Rogers or Brees's butt in a SB. That would shut everyone up.
Saints vs the chosen one would be pretty funny, but to be honest the DEN is not that good , in my opinion .
But, if 49ers beat us. I would really watch out. SF defense is good, not as good as the texans, and they are not the 85 bears, but the saints offense is one of the best fielded historically. But if they beat us they can beat any high octane offense period.

The Manning crap has led us to be hypersensitive about the "best QB" comparisons. It took until 2007 just to get rid of the "Manning's numbers...." arguments, and then the arguments just shifted to "well Manning didn't have Belichick" instead of the pro-Manning crowd just saying something like "Well, you guys were right about what Brady would do with top line receivers". Now, with Brady still not having gotten his due even after all that and everything since, one season has everyone nuzzling Rodgers' crotch.

Wait a second. Are you telling me that fans of a team think they might win? Holy crap, this just blew my mind.

yeah but.. seriously if you were a Denver fan would you really think you have a shot at the SB? Your team is very young.. very young and under developed at QB especially.. You lost the last 3 games of the season looking pretty horrible.. Your coach was prepared to pull the plug on Tebow if he wasnt producing during the Steelers game..

In 2001 I thought we had 0 chance of winning the SB.. But really really enjoyed the ride as we pulled off back to back huge upsets. As Denver fan you should look at the post season as gravy.. because its all gravy for you guys. Of course eat it up while it lasts because Saturday night the gravy train makes its last stop.

Yeah, but that cloud is gone. Manning had one chance to be great. He had all the tools and a 16-0 team , basically, to walk into history win a SB against a lesser QB, and stamp that he was better than Brady. Which would be more sad because he would have only had 2 SB's. But he got beat.
so that chapter is closed. Manning is in obscurity now. Your welcome

Now, with Brady still not having gotten his due even after all that and everything since, one season has everyone nuzzling Rodgers' crotch.

common Deus commentators pick NE just because Brady is the QB,lol. Its Brady, Brady, Brady, all day. I admit theres to much Brees coverage now, but they didn't talk about us until the falcons game, and the Rogers media has been pretty insane. But Ive seen nothing but respect and constant praise of Brady. IF anything , after Mannings loss of the SB in 2009 Brady has been more appreciated.

I do understand the early years their was an irritating Manning vs Brady debate. Rogers is going to be compared to Brady, you can bet on that. LOL, but Brees, have you seen his numbers and never MVP,lol, he's no threat. No, the media loves guys like Rogers. Commentators fawn over Brady and Rogers, your legacy is fine, and we hope Brady gets ring. He deserves it, he's a good guy and one of the best ever.

because you not good enough, its that simple..heck we even know when were not good.

I can't lie: I'm already imagining what it would be like to beat New England, then beat either Baltimore or the Texans in close games, and see my Broncos representing the AFC in the Super Bowl with Tebow taking all the snaps and doing his read-option thang.

As far as storybook endings are concerned, that's a lot more compelling than watching Tom Brady win a 4th ring. zzzzzzz

The fact is: we already have enormous momentum in the playoffs, you guys don't. Our record is 1-0, yours is 0-0. We've been knocking off the rust, you guys have been gathering rust. Our guy just set the postseason record for QBR and YPA. And we cut our losses with Josh "Stalin" McStalin over a year ago, while you guys have just welcomed him back to the fold. (BTW: Someone needs to tell him that his guy Orton was cut and finished out the season with Kansas City - wouldn't want your Head Coach to get any "out-of-focus" intel...)

The only remaining question for Bronco fans is this: who do we want to beat in the Super Bowl? Green Bay for a repeat of SB 32? The Giants to avenge our loss in SB Whatever? SF to avenge our loss in SB Whatever? Or the Saints, with whom we have no bad blood but would like to destroy all the same?

Maybe taking on the Giants would be fun; then we could do to Eli what Tom and Bill were unable to do back when you guys went 19-0.

It's great for Broncos fans to have something to talk smack about. Beating the Pittsburgh Steelers certainly is enough to earn the right revel in the moment and to look ahead to a possible Super Bowl appearance. Go for it, I say.

Patriots nation appreciates schadenfreud better than most and put the Broncos win over the Steelers right up there with any of a number of recent defeats of the Jets by other teams. Thank you, Denver Broncos.

As far as talking smack about the Super Bowl, you won't see much of that here. Recent playoff defeats have us all on edge and praying, yes, praying for just one more win.

Patriots nation has seen the people who publicly buy their plane tickets and book their hotel rooms, or plan their Super Bowl victory parades, only to go down in flames and acrimony.

Tim Tebow might agree that maybe a little biblical verse is helpful here. Something along the lines of the meek shall inherit the earth or pride goeth before the fall.

See ya Saturday night.

Win or lose, Saturday night's matchup will be an epic battle. Can't wait for the fireworks to begin!

But aren't we BOTH projecting?

You're projecting 1 game ahead, and salivating at the chance to take on B-More or Houston since "Denver has NO chance to win this game." Heck, from the sound of things, maybe Denver should just stay home since it's a hopeless endeavor and we're 13 point dogs.

In response to this, most Bronco fans are simply projecting 2 games ahead.

Now...Me? I figure, why stop at 2 games? If you're going to project, I say go all the way! :rocker:

Whilst I agree you guys should imagine away all you like, I feel there's some ignorance in this post. You used the 'hot streak' formula against us at mile high and we got the unwanted ghost off of our shoulders with recent poor performances at mile High and put 40 on you.

The Pats have been a very banged up team, the bye week is exactly what they needed. Despite losing out of the bye this season, the Pats have been consistently one of the better teams off of a week's rest under Bill Belichick.

You want to talk about momentum? Talk about the 8 game win streak the Pats are currently on...then come talk to me about momentum.

Regular-season momentum != Post-season momentum

And as for those long win streaks, just think of all the teams that have learned this lesson: the longer the streak goes on, the greater the likelihood that it will end.

Just ask Denver in 1998, Indy through countless years with Manning, New England during its 19-0 run, and Green Bay just this year.

Playoff momentum is what counts, and Denver has it in spades right now.

Every team that wins in the wild card round has "momentum" going into the second round. Denver is 1-3 in the past 4 games. If momentum meant anything, the wild card teams would win super bowls every year. In 2009 it was the number 1 seeds that went to the SB. In 2008 the first or second seeded steelers won it all. In other years wild card winners went on to win the SB.

All that stuff is water off of of a ducks back with me.

You can lose any game...we could play you on an 8 game winning streak or even a 1 game winning streak, and it isn't any more or less likely that we would beat or lose to you...so that logic doesn't come into play.

Momentum is momentum. You've won 1 in your last 4 games....we've won 8 on the bounce.

I do agree that sometimes a bye week can come into play in different ways...sometimes you want a bye week as you're banged up and tired, and sometimes you just want to keep going. I think we needed the bye week.

That logic is just complete nonsense...I don't mean to sound rude about it but it is. Because you won a game last week, that gives you more momentum than the 8-streak Patriots?

Wildcard momentum rarely does anything for you...which is why only 7 wildcard teams have gone through to win the Superbowl.

Denver was one of 'em. Super Bowl 32, baby!

Hey, look: I'm just trying to keep the thread "balanced" with a contrarian opinion. Not exactly trolling, but you get the idea.

You have regular-season momentum; Denver has post-season momentum. And you can bet your bottom dollar that I'm going to latch on to that fact and ride it hard.

We're in the post-season now, so in my virtual universe, post-season momentum is imbued with more Newtons than whatever happened 8 games ago.

Haha like the way you put it!

****y but affable and when called out almost apologetic troll who makes fish analogies and lives in Seattle yet roots for another AFC team....has a betting strategy but a fan of storybook endings... Where have I seen this before... I'm sure it will come to me...

Strange but true.

I guess I really am "a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma". Where have I seen this before?

Dude, I'm just trying to get to 50 posts so I can make a thread of my own!
