That is a ridiculous article. I can't believe that stuff actually gets punished. BB apologised for it yesterday, despite (to my mind) not having anything to apologise for.

The media should be more critical of themselves. It is they who pushed the stories that led to the scrum for the photos. It is their fault for putting the cameraman in that situation. They should at least bear some responsibility.

BB is one of the classiest coaches in football. Nothing in that article resonated with any of my opinions of BB at all.

not that I expect anything to come of it, but here is my email to that clown:

After putting up with Ron Borges' and Dan Shaugnessey's venom for the Patriots and Bill Belichick for years now, it is finally one of their sycophants that turns me off on the Globe entirely. Congratulations to you for making something out of nothing and turning an exciting playoff game into slander.

You and the rest of the New York Globe/Red Sox Media Outlet should be proud of yourselves. It takes real talent to alienate local readers such as myself.

I hadn't seen the video before, I am glad the columnist posted it... I had to laugh, it wasn't nearly as big a deal as I had been hearing about.

Perfect, classy response.

I won't put here what I sent as it is embarrassing to myself upon re-reading it. Too bad the Globe writer didn't do the same thing.

I disagree with all of you. BB was unforgivably rude to brutally crash that decorous meeting of the N.E. Sports Photographers Association.

What were they trying to take pictures of anyway?

Having been at the game I had not seen it.

That was it? I was led to believe from what everyone is talking about he slammed a photographer to the ground. That was nothing.

I laughed out loud when I first saw BB shove of the photographer. But that whole mid-field scene summed up the supposed Belichick/Mangini feud for me - it was entirely media driven. Dumb article by Brian McGroy of the Globe. I think the final line of his column reveals his agenda:

"What would the guy have done if they lost?"

My letter to Mr. McGrory and the Boston Globe.

"Since your paper has chosen to publicly reprimand Bill Belichick's treatment of a journalist, can the Boston Globe please provide a link of it's condemnation of Ron Borges after his public slapdown of Michael Katz, the wheelchair-bound boxing scribe at a Hopkins/De La Hoya press conference. Thank you in advance for the information that shows equal treatment."

Wasn't this guy eulogizing Red Auerbach in his column a little more than a month ago?

What BB did was patty cake compared to what Red did to photographers if they ventured onto a basketball court.

BTW, don't complain to the Globe.

Complain to their owners - - the New York Red Sox.

That writer is a cheapshot artist whose usual line of work is bashing local politicians.

His entire article's intent was to put Belichick in a bad light with no objectivity whatsoever.

I'm not surprised by this, after all it's the Globe. They've been horrible for awhile now.

I've been going to Boston.com less and less lately. This was the little push I needed to delete my bookmark.

I checked the Glob's message board:
"Belicheck may be on steroids....give him a break. And after all, considering Foxboro stadium was inhabited by a bunch of drunks that day, his behaviour is only fitting the occasion: a massive barroom brawl."
* Of the first few I read, most weren't this bad. The one I liked best was "I've been shoved harder in a mall during Xmas".

**I hope somebody prints out that idiot's article and hangs it in the Pats' locker room. I'd also assume nobody will ever again question why BB despises the media.
With the exception of Reiss, the Glob is dead to me.

The guy acts like Belichick knew exactly who it was, and violently attacked him. The guy was in front of Belichick with his back to him, so he simply pulled him out of the way. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, especially considering how sick Belichick is of all the "Teacher-pupil feud" talk.

Here we are, the week before probably our toughest matchup since the 2001 super bowl, and all these idiots can talk about is the coach moving a cameraman out of the way. Bravo, Globe.

You guys can defend your hoodie wearing genius all you want, but it was a fairly classless act. There are security and police on the field to handle the throngs of people. Bill should have let them do their job, instead of putting his hands on a photographer.

It was good of Belicheck to apologize and admit he was wrong, but he never should have done it in the first place.

You guys act like BB's not an a-hole. Everyone knows he's an a-hole. He's just such a good coach that nobody cares. I'm sure if he was the Bolts coach and had brought them three rings, I'd feel the same way. But let's not act like he's Miss Congeniality.

He did.

They didn't.
