What IF --- we have a 25 year anniversary SB??? - Broncos Country Message Boards

I hate starting these type of threads, but I found this one amusing. The Bronco fans think they are going to the super bowl and want a rematch against the Giants, which would mark the 25th anniversary of Super Bowl 21.

Apparently, on the broncos forum, the steelers were the big road block and they are easily going to beat the patriots and texans en route to the super bowl.

Super Bowl? they should be happy that a young team like this made the playoffs and seems to have a pretty bright future.

It's no different than a lot of the threads that you see here, really. I don't see why fans being optimistic is such a bad thing.

i don't really see too many threads here on the Super Bowl. Pats fans know they have a tough road to Indy: Denver and probably Baltimore.

You're being misleading here. The O.P. is convinced because of a gut feeling, but says
I know I know a lot has to happen and NE is a HUGE hurdle not to look past. But something in my gut tells me ..............

And one says "could happen" while referring to numerology. That was it.

There might be a rematch against the Giants, but it won't be with Broncos.

That doesn't sound any different then the 2001 season, Oakland looked like they would be tough to beat even thou we were at home, but once we got past them, I remember a lot of people feeling good about getting past the Steelers and having a real shot at the SB. The only difference in their road is the Broncos have to play one extra game to get there.

Thats what its supposed to be like. Fans rooting for thier teams. I seem to "recall" a certain team in 2001 who very much said the same thing, and had hopes and dreams to do that very thing. Just so happen's they DID do it But rest assured my friend, IT AIN'T HAPPNING TO THEM IDIOT DONKEY SCUM LOW LIFE VERMIN SEWER LIVING KNAT HOGS !!

The most definitive statement that the OP made was "I seriously think we have a good chance of winning in NE."

Personally, I seriously think that we will beat the Broncos, so there you have it. I've cancelled him out and then some

Plus the OP on that thread said that he's always thought that Eli was better than Peyton, so he clearly isn't all that bright anyways.

...and if the Pats square off with the G-men each team will wear the same color uniforms as the did for SB42.

Wait a second. Are you telling me that fans of a team think they might win? Holy crap, this just blew my mind.

This was what THEY wanted? They got it and they...hit it ! spank it

i have been on orange mane for the past day or so, and they are definitely taking a lot out of the win that they just had. A lot of "if the right Tebow shows up you guys are in deep trouble and will be humiliated" I try to stay objective, but comments like that made me laugh. The guy had 1 decent game where he averaged 30 yards per completion. That will never happen again, and if it does, he could still only end up with 60 yards. (as we have seen him complete 2 passes before) A lot of them think they could win this game in a shootout with us, which i competely disagree with.

"The Right Tebow" = completes 47% of his passes.

IF the Broncos beat the Patriots and go on to the Super Bowl, I will be genuinely frightened. Because that will confirm higher powers are at work.

People often forget that as Patriots fans or as a Bronco, we're SUPPOSED to be homers! That's the definition of fan(atic).

Oh I know you'll hear people say, "I'm a football fan, not a Pats fans..." but that's a load of steamin crap. Show me someone who doesn't have passion about their team and I'll show you a marginal fan.

If the Broncos win the superbowl I'm going to seriously reconsider my opinion on all this 2012 end of the world talk.

"The Right Tebow" lights up secondaries for numbers of deep completions rarely seen in playoff games and leads his team to victory over heavily favored opponents. Why would the completion percentage matter?

It matters because a depleted secondary was selling out against the run, and the pass rush was nonexistent due to two starting defensive linemen and a starting OLB being out of the game, and he still completed under half of his passes. Not to take too much away from what he did, because they won that game and he make a couple of the best throws that I've seen him make as a QB, but I don't see that recipe getting it done against the Pats. For the Broncos to beat the Pats, he'll have to be even better than he was on Sunday. Not saying that it can't happen, but I don't see how anyone could think that that's a likely outcome that will lead to the Pats being humiliated.

He made one bad pass all night (I believe that's the number Simms credited). That's better than Brady's done for most of the year.
