C'Mon Bengals - Don't Fail Us Now (Andy Dalton Misses Practice With Flu)

Re: Who To Root For!!

Don't fool yourself. That defense is fearsome, Ben is indestructible, and they have a top receiver corps.

Ryan Clark isn't playing against the Broncos, Pouncey probably isn't playing (unless that changed recently) which makes it all the worse for a hobbled Raper, and their number 1 running back went down with an ACL a couple weeks ago. They have been averaging somewhere in the area of 10 points a game over the last three games.

Re: Who To Root For!!

That's taken out of context though, it should be who would you rather see the Pats play, Pitts or Balt?

Actually, the correct question is which AFC QBs would you like to play against in Gillette? The correct answer, in order, would be 1. Tebow 2. Dalton 3. Yates

The other two you want eliminated asap.

Re: Who To Root For!!

Makes zero sense to root for the Steelers at any time. Yeah lets keep Ben and their #1 defense in the playoffs but get rid of the .500 team with the worst QB in the NFL.

Zero sense.

Alright, that's your opinion, but I wouldn't hesitate to root for any team if I felt that it would help us out.

Potentially playing Pittsburgh does not help the Patriots.

Re: Who To Root For!!

You don't understand what an opinion is, do you?

Yeah I do. It's just frustrating to see that kind of opinion is all, I like to think New England fans are more knowledgeable than that.;)

Except you can only have one of Dalton and Yates, and in order to get one of them along with Tebow, some one is going to have to go through Baltimore and potentially Pitts as well. I agree with you, but that's extremely unrealistic.

If Houston wins I'm rooting for Denver, but if Cinci wins I think we're better off with Pitts going into Balt. The last thing I want to see is the Ravens walking over Denver on their way to us.

I'm sorry I'm not smart enough to be in your presence, all knowing one.

My 9 month old twins are smart enough to know Ben has 2 SB rings and Tebow can't throw a spiral. But hey root for Pitt.:)

I'm sure they're smart enough to grasp why I could end up rooting for the Steelers too...not sure you've picked up on it yet.

4 ~ Broncos over Steelers. I actually give the Broncos a very solid shot at winning this one, and that would be terrific, if the Hoostens beat the Bengals, as I expect, as we'd draw the Broncos...Of course, if the Bengals upset Planet Hoosten, I'll be a BIG Steelers fan, tomorrow!! :D

Um, no. You want the Steelers OUT. Period.

Steelers are too banged up to make any noise in these playoffs.

I don't care if Ben is on crutches while playing, I'd still rather face Tebow.

Maybe YOU want the Steelers out, but if the Bengals win I'd rather see Pitt and Baltimore beat the Sh!t out of each other than the Ravens ripping the Tebows apart en route to the AFCCG.

Now, if the Texans win....GO BRONCOS!

Go ahead and make a poll. Which team would you rather see the Pats play, Denver or Pittsburgh?

WOW.

You're having a REALLY difficult time with this concept, aren't you?? ;)

1 ~ The Steelers have a legitimate shot at beating their division mate Ravens.

2 ~ The Broncos do not.

3 ~ Even if they lose ~ which would be likely ~ they'd still beat the SNOT out'f'm.

4 ~ The Broncos would not.

You act as if the Steelers are this fearsome force we need to shy away from.

If we meet them in the AFC Championship Game, we'll probably ANNIHILATE them.

The Ravens, on the other hand, would be a big struggle...

But LESS so, if the Steelers tenderize them for us.

The concept isn't complicated, my friend...

But evidently beyond your grasp.

2 ~ The Broncos do not.

Fixed it for you.

But no, you're right. Let's root for the good teams to stay in the playoffs and against the crappy teams. The field is so much less daunting with 8-8, already had his tits blown off by the Pats, Tebow out of the race, rather than 12-4, already beat the Pats once this season, Roethlisberger.

How did I ever miss that?

Personally I don't want to duck the Steelers, beat them and then Baltimore. Time to shut up all the 'experts'.

The Steelers were able to avoid the Patriots for each of their two Superbowls, the Patriots took on top seeds every time.

Your astonishingly persistent failure to grasp the ~ increasingly theoretical ~ concept amazes me...

But I must say: Your sarcasm is rich, deep, and deliciously textured. :D

The Steelers were able to avoid the Patriots for each of their two Superbowls,

A fact I love to use when discussing it with my idiot Steeler fan friends. Especially '08. I love to say, "everyone got a free pass that year when Brady went down."

Well, that sucks...

I'm happy for my beloved Planet Hoosten, of course ~ and the more they win, the smarter I delusionally appear to be!! ~ but that means that the Ravens get to play an overextended team on their 3rd QB...

Even so: Yates was one of the more interesting and cerebral QB's in last year's draft, there's something to be said for there not being much Book on a guy, and Planet Hoosten plays a pretty mean D...

A long shot, but you never know...

Go, Broncos!! :rocker:

Now I'm rooting for Denver. See how that works, PatriotFan77?

I do, now. I need you to pick my fantasy team next year as well. Also, I think we as a forum need to petition for and support you being in the war room this April to guide BB and staff through the draft process.

Well, I did win both of my fantasy leagues this season....SIGN ME UP!

/sarcasm switch: OFF

Seriously? That is impressive.

/switch:ON

I'm sure those three team leagues are really brutal.
