This reminds me of a game I just happend to catch on TV. Jerry Ball of Oakland picked up a fumble and ran it about 50 yards for a TD. It was funnier tha Vinces because Ball was about 6 feet and 335. I never laughed so hard watching. He got into the end zone and collapsed.:singing:
Today was the day I realized what the Pats have in Vince Wilfork. Wright has been solid in his absense, but VW was a force in the center of that line.
I hope he is as disruptive next week.
Seymour was just as bad as Rosy though. He actually stepped over the ball then Wilfork came behind him and scooped it up.
Nut, don't tell me you're buying that Vince is only 325 thing?!This reminds me of a game I just happend to catch on TV. Jerry Ball of Oakland picked up a fumble and ran it about 50 yards for a TD. This will come as no surprise, but I remember that when the Pats took Wilfork and Watson, Borges wrote that this was a tacit admission that he had made mistakes in Warren and Graham (even though Warren plays a different position).
I remember that Wilfork was widely projected in the 10-15 area and we got him at 21 IIRC. I remember watching the draft and yelling at the TV for the Pats to take him.
Fact is, the Pats have gotten solid contributions from every #1 pick in the BB era. (after a few years with the likes of Canty, Katzenmoyer, and Tebucky (who was at least an OK contributor)).
Actually Sey said on EEI this am that he was looking (distracted) at Rosy instead of the ball etc, so I'd agree with onegame, there may be a bit said about those antics taking the focus away.

ESPN online says Vince is 6'2, which he looks more like to me than 6'4. Whatever, a force at any height/weight.Oh no, I'm not buying it. But, Vince is 6'4, Ball had to be 6 or under and I don't care what his "stats" say.
I definitely agree that Colvin's ooh-i-coulda-had-it show took the focus away from the play. But does anyone think that might have been a good thing?
Suppose Rosy realizes the pass might have been a lateral. He swirls around madly in search of the ball. The other players take their cue from him -- Jets and Patriots alike. A scramble and a pileup ensue. Maybe a Jet lineman ends up with the ball. At the least, Big Vince isn't likely to escape 30 yards downfield. Maybe, just maybe, Rosy helped by unintentionally psyching out the opposition.
Maybe.
