i hope sd doesn't hire gruden

he annoys the hell out of me

he does hate the raiders though.......

but it's not worth it , too annoying.....

didn't he just sign an extension with ESPN? I actually liked him there. He brought knowledge and personality to the booth. Much better than Kornhole.

If true I'm really surprised, it's hard to see anyone going back to the schedule NFL coaches work when they are making pretty much the same money to do what Gruden does. He must really really really love coaching to make that move.

I think its a no brainer that Gruden is headed back to either Tampa Bay or maybe San Diego

Both teams have announced that they will not be retaining their current head coach next year and it seems very coincidental that all of a sudden Gruden is coming back to coach.....its likely one of these teams and a return to Tampa Bay where Gruden took the Bucs to thier only Super Bowl is my expectation.

Really weak on Tampa's part, Morris deserves another year.

Umm...because he SUCKS. Period! This guy was another promoted aide to an assistant's assistant, and because he came out of Belichick's Stable.....he was going to be a genius too. Just like mangina and we all know how that one turned out. I think mistakenly he got all the credit for the 2007 high powered offense....when in reality it was BB pulling those strings....McD is a fraud.

Here's another possible explanation. . . .

16 Danny Amendola WR (IR)
63 Jacob Bell G (IR)
89 Mark Clayton WR (IR)
86 Michael Hoomanawanui TE (IR)
49 Brit Miller FB (IR)
18 Austin Pettis WR (Suspended)
76 Rodger Saffold T (IR)
87 Greg Salas WR (IR)
77 Jason Smith OT (IR)

Eh none of those guys look important

Yay!!!! Never having to listen to him again will be so much more informative than listening to him has been.

Seems to me that besides one great year in Tampa Bay, coaching has not been the successful for him. I expect no change.

I agree. He's a helluva lot better than Dennis Miller, would you guys rather him?

No, but it could be said they are both comedians, though I actually do think that Gruden is funnier than Miller.

3 starting O line guys and both starting WR's. So the Rams QB's have no one to throw to and no one to protect them.

Very scary, not sure if we can blame McDaniels for that.

The real question is if the Rams finish with the 1st overall pick, what do they do?

I say trade it to Washington for a boatload of draft picks and use Washington;s first this year to get OT Kahlil from USC. Move Stafford to OG, where he is better suited.

ESPN announced today that Gruden will NOT be leaving in 2012

End of thread.....

Now see, I like him and enjoy listening to him. The man is a damned fine coach, and the detail he brings to the booth and the games is very nice. For me, at least.

:agree: 10 char

I have no idea what he makes as an analyst, but I would bet my house that it is significantly less than he could get as a head coach somewhere.

Now that the Gruden rumor has been canned, can we start one that Mike Tirico is retiring to the Home of the Terminally Bland?

IMHO Tirico adds absolutely nothing to the broadcast, except some feeble attempts at faking excitement.

Can't ESPN find ANYONE better than Tirico to put on MNF?

I don't know about Tirico but take that POS announcer Dan Dierdorf and kick his ass away from announcing......he is the WORST in history.
