Eldelman looks seriously ****** up in that mug shot, does he even remember what happened that night??

He was cooked. Have you ever been out after midnight drinking like a wild goat? He was bombzoed. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean he's guilty of what he's been accused of. Gonna have to wait that one out.

Further details have emerged:

Edelman lost a game day bet with a James Harrison who like Edelman went to Kent State.

If the Patriots had won the game Harrison would have been required to wear a Tom Brady jersey on Halloween. But alas the Steelers won so Edelman was required to wear a Ben Rothsburger costum for Halloween. Edelman took the gig a bit too far.

Sorry it's insensitive to legit victims, but that doesn't make it any less true in cases like this.

In addition to wasting law enforcement's time and ruining an innocent man's reputation, false charges make life much harder for real victims. If this was a deliberate shakedown, it's seriously scummy.

Sexual assault is very serious. How would you like it if someone took the hand of your mother/daughter/wife/etc. on a club dance floor! Our legal system has clearly failed this young lady, who'll likely require years of therapy to get over this incident...

Glad this turned out to be nothing. Despite thinking that at worst this was just a **** move and not a criminal matter, I'd prefer to have as few "that guy"s on the Pats roster as possible.
